Great Subwoofer

Better have a smart phone to set up.

We regret to learn the you've had experienced some pairing issues with the Sony SA-SW3 wireless subwoofer and it doesn't connect properly to your soundbar. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the need to use for an app to setup the unit. The Sony BRAVIA Connect app allows you to control your home entertainment system from your smartphone. For smooth setup and easy troubleshooting. This is a control app for easy use of Sony TVs and home theater products. There are some things we’d like for you to try and see if we can resolve your audio cut-off/pairing issue.
First, please ensure that the connected home audio is using the most current firmware. After confirming latest firmware is installed and the behavior continues, you can try this procedure if the drop-off is caused by wireless interference within your home: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00200429

Misleading demo!

Now feels like false advertising on Best Buys part.

This is definitely not the news we want to hear. the bass sound quality will depend in the source that you're playing. The subwoofer is designed for playback of bass sound. If the input sources contain very little bass sound components, the sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. You can check the subwoofer sound by emitting the test tone. Disappointed

Bose BLEW ME AWAY, this Sony lineup severely underpreformed, especially in the bass department. I would not recommend this against the Bose or the Sonos for that matter.

There's a catch

Constantly disconnects

For the past six months I've had nothing but problems with this and the Sony HT-A5000 where they just keep disconnecting from one another. As of today they will no longer even link to one another. I will never buy another Sony product every time I do it's always something wrong with them.

Not too impressed

But.. Also, the connectivity to my Sony TV and iPhone were a bit of hassle. The sound bar and the TV did work together with the Sony remote. I had to individually power down.

good sub but!
