Bought them for a Christmas gift. Hopefully it sound ok.

Unfortunately, it has a hissing sound when it is plugged in to the computer. I wanted to use it without the bluetooth feature and unfortunately, it doesn't work well. Too much bass is an issue as well. I missed the return deadline and stuck with it. I will try to use it for music.

good product speaker not to good sound, others better.

Saw this for $5 and bought it to use clipped to my hydration pack while mountain biking. Works, but after some time the volume lowers and won't go back to where you can hear it. Have to turn off and then back on to hear it loud enough. For $5, it is OK.

I bought this with award certificates that were expiring that day. Glad I didn’t spend cash on it. Marginally better than my iPhone speakers. Practically no base at, so very shallow and tinny sound.

I bought this for my teenage son for Christmas so he would stop using my Altec. It worked great for the first month but since then is no longer playing music when paired through Blue Tooth. We have reset it and gone through the initalizion many times. We have unpaired all other devices, we have even tried to pair it through all family members phones and while the device is paired it does not play sound. It will still play sound when directly connected but we need the wireless functionality. Extremely disappointed!!! Have been searching online for over a month to find other ways to resolve this and turned up empty handed so finally writing my first ever poor review.

The Sony SRS-XB01 is a portable speaker that delivers high quality sound in a compact design. It’s easy to setup. The battery life is pretty good, and it sounds awesome. I use it to enhance my workouts by playing my favorite playlist in the exercise room. Because the Sony SRS-XB01 is so lite and compact it’s really easy to take it with you. I use it where ever I can take a speaker and enjoy music.

I thought the sound would have been better than it was and if you are further than 2-3 feet from speaker it cuts out or stops playing your music. It’s ok for sitting beside you or carrying in your hand.

This speaker is smaller than it looks on the website. The sound is ok but not overly loud. It makes a nice shower radio but not much more than that. It doesn't have the sound volume to use entertaining more than one person.

I am not impressed by this little speaker at all. I thought it would be bigger and more powerful- I was so deflated when I received this little thing. It was a waste of my money!!

Does not play very loud. The volumn on my phone is louder without the speaker than with it. A real disappointment. I need to return it but who has the time? Bummer.

I guess I just expected more from a Sony product...after all...it cost more. The insignia one was louder and 1/3 the price

First off let me say I was a little confused when I saw the picture for the Sony SRS-XB01 online versus seeing it person, almost disappointed. It seemed a lot bigger online but I guess you have to read the description and thats my fault. I fits in the palm of my hand and is about half a pound maybe less. I have several Sony Blue tooth speakers that I own already and have enjoyed all of them and the sound they produced so I was curious to see what this handful of a speaker could do. It looks nice and simple, got mine in black with a gray mesh grill, controls are on top and the charging port is next to it and it comes with a lanyard cord you can strap on to the speaker itself. Now the sound, wow for the size of this thing it actually pumps out clear music, now mind you the bass is a little lacking but for the size and price point I was really impressed. It also has a 6 hour battery life and you can take calls on it. So if you're looking for a budget speaker you can just take on the go with you the Sony SRS-XB01 is perfect.

Does not have a long battery life. Speaker is not very loud in the highest level.

Can barely hear when half way up and then if you raise volume a touch, it becomes too loud for background noise at work to keep at your work station.

Purchased in May 2020, after a month it would not hold a charge. So I kept it plugged in, its only for my PARROT to listen to the radio during the day so it wasn't a big deal. Until today... Woken up in the wee hours of the morning by a non-stop piercing sound and instantly thought it was my smoke detector... nope it was the speaker! And then it just DIED, I've bought better speakers from FIVE BELOW

Not that great. Low. Used for back up speaker for husbands work bag.

This Sony - SRS-XBO1 Portable Bluetooth Speaker did not work well for me. I purchased this item to use with my I-Pad & cell phone for better sound amplification while traveling. I have internet Hot Spot in my vehicle, but still, it would not pick up wireless signals well, and kept cutting out. I did return this item for a full refund within 2 weeks from purchase date.

This is a nice small directional speaker which is better than any phone output but not as good as the larger Bluetooth speakers. The unit has a small radiator to improve bass sound. The speaker is very light and could easily travel in a messenger bag or purse.

This speaker worked exactly once. After the first use, it now fails to charge. I have followed every recommendation from the Sony Support website, which was fairly useless and only suggested checking to make sure the charging cable was firmly plugged into the charger (obviously... that was the first thing I did). Seems to be poor quality control from the factory on these units. Cannot recommend.
