Probably a lot easier for young people. It took me a little bit to realize what the key one meant, but I got it without help.

Posted .Hi Houdini2mom, Thank you for the feedback on your experience with your XB12. We regret to hear you're having issues pairing your speaker to another XB12. If you're unable to pair the speakers, pelase follow these troubleshooting steps:
-Place the speakers within 1 m (3.2 ft) of each other.
-To use the Speaker Add function, pair with the speaker in which the power/(BLUETOOTH) indicator flashes in blue.
-If the power/(BLUETOOTH) indicator is not flashing quickly in blue, press and hold the (power)/PAIRING button until you hear beeps and the power/(BLUETOOTH) indicator begins to flash quickly in blue.
If the troubleshooting steps didn't resolve the issue, initialize both the speakers. Please follow the steps below to initialize the unit.
-With the speaker turned on, press and hold the – (volume) button and the (power)/PAIRING button at the same time for more than 5 seconds until the speaker turns off.

It lasts a good amount though. I recommend this product

We appreciate your feedback about the volume that gets very low. This is not a malfunction. When you use the speaker at a loud volume for a long time, the built-in battery may run low even if the speaker is connected to an AC outlet or a booted computer. As a result, sound becomes low. One of the safety features it possesses the ability to limit its volume when the battery is critically low. This protects the speaker and its circuits from damage.
