I got a great deal on this bluetooth speaker and the wife loves it for listening to music outside on the patio in our backyard. Instead of bringing out the old boombox I plop this down on the table and put my iphone on music choice or itunes or even youtube and kick out the jams, nice lighting effect too.

its such a loud speaker, battery dies quick though

I love the sound bar sound. It fills the room. Only complaint is that if you have two bluetooth phones, it knocks one off even when its playing. You need to disable your phone when another one is connected to avoid the issue. that's a pain.

Great product by Sony. Bass is strong and loud....

Bluetooth not working. Everything else I love. I love Sony sound. Bose is overrated because sound engineers will tell you that its a boutique sound to make you think it sounds better, not atypical production.

This speaker is compact, durable, and rugged. It is pretty heavy for its size, which could be considered an asset or a drawback, depending. I absolutely love love love that it is waterproof, dustproof, and rustproof as I often tend to take these portable speakers to the beach and/or lake where dirt, salt, sand, and water are all at play. I feel much more confident about using this speaker in the elements than I did my last Sony portable speaker. All in all the sound quality is okay. It’s definitely on the better side for the price range, but there are pricier options that will give you better sound production, and specifically more bass (which is what this model seems to lack). It definitely will satisfy most people’s needs for a small, portable speaker to take with you on the go though. Battery life was good, and charging time seemed to be reasonable to get back to a full charge. The only downside in this regard is there is no good way of knowing charging status, other than the unit announcing it through the speaker. Another type of indicator would have been a nice touch.

A good sounding speaker but definitely heavy on the bass end; I realize this may appeal to some, but it can make the treble end come off as muddy at times. Could be improved with a separate bass boost. Easy to connect and set up.

Great product! Best Buy usually has great service but just this one day I go & get the speakers I couldn't find someone to help. Then I tried to have them price match but the cashier was unsure how that works? But at other locations never had an issue with that.

Id go with the ue boom and or ue megaboom. Better sounding , entirely water proof & u can add them together as u purchase another to create a sound sound effect with ur rooms

We were looking for something to put in the kitchen and expand in the future if needed. Most other speakers that had this feature were smart speakers. We didn’t want that feature. With this one you can ad speakers and control from other rooms or phone.

I like the Sony speaker...good sound quality and has blue tooth capability. I bought 3 of them to use in my office and connect them via "party chain" which I figured out how to do this from my PC. (I didn't have to download the app to use on my phone)

I tried this speaker as well as the JBL Flip4. The JBL charges quicker and has a clearer sound in my opinion, The Sony "party" speaker is good if you want to pair it with another Sony "party" speaker. The JBL will not pair with another. Still as great speaker for the price.

Needed a small yet powerful bluetooth, water resistant speaker. This fit the bill, and it has an additional feature of a light show, if you want to add a little atmosphere to the party. We'll use this when traveling, or out at our pool.

Needed a blue tooth speaker that connected quickly, and volume remained as set when turned off. Love it. Turns on and the volume is still set right on the button. Battery life excellent, warns you when low. All around wonderful buy.

The Sony dpraker is. Great buy, the only downfall is that the charge finishes pretty fast. Box says it last up to 12 hours but I’ve listen to it for 2 hours straight and it alerts that’s halfway charge. Other than that it’s a great speaker .

The sound quality is great and the battery life is better than expected. Bought this for my wife and she takes it everywhere. Small enough to take anywhere and loud enough to fill most rooms. Great purchase for sure.

I am sure this is going to sound strange to some but this speaker almost has too much bass to the point that it almost overpowers everything else. If there is a setting I can find to bring it down a little I would make it five stars.

I have been using this speaker for several hours a day for the last week or so and have been pretty satisfied with it. The finish to the speaker is interesting, in a good way. The front is almost a cloth and is soft. It's a nice change to the typical hard plastic. So far, it also appears durable as my toddler has ran around with it and not been gentle. I haven't really exposed it to wet conditions yet other than sitting it on a shelf outside the shower, but its water resistance rating has me excited to use it this summer by the pool. The features of this Sony Speaker are pretty nifty. The one that has me the most excited is that you can chain several of these speakers together wirelessly, which would be great for covering larger areas with music without the need to invest in a hub of sorts. I currently only own one, but I look forward to acquiring another to fill my backyard entertaining area with sound. The lights found on my speaker are...ok. It's a nice touch, it adds a little party feel to the music, but it's only a couple small spots on top and bottom that light up. I believe the larger variants of this speaker have a more broad lighting area and I wish they would have included that with the smallest speaker in the lineup. Or if they have, I have not located how to change it. Their is also a feature where when music is playing, you can tap on different areas of the speaker, which will result in the speaker interjecting a sound effect into the song you are listening. Nifty? Yes. Will I use it? Probably not unless I want to show off the feature to friends. But I am not Skrillex or Steve Aoki. They may have more use for it. On to the most important part...THE SOUND. This speaker produces impressive volume for its size. The sound really throws pretty far and the clarity, even at high volume, is VERY good. The only let down is the "fullness" of the sound. Sony advertises EXTRA BASS on the box in big letters, and lists the EXTRA BASS as a feature. Bass, in my opinion, lacks. Maybe the larger models in this lineup will have more bass to them as I would assume they will have larger actual speakers in them. But overall, for the price point, this is a solid speaker, and I look forward to acquiring one of the larger models in this lineup this summer.

The sony wireless speaker works well and the sound is good. I was expecting a higher quality sound but then I chose price over top quality. For my needs, it works fine.
