Speaker ok but volume goes down randomly want it to be louder

Nice size speaker but volume could be a little higher

It doesn’t come with everything and is super complicated. Doesn’t have full directions. You have to purchase extra cords to give it some length from wall .

Great compact speaker with above sound reproduction and good bass. They can be connected to other Sony speakers which can fill up the space you are trying to entertain in. The range to the connected device is fantastic as is the battery life, without the lights on, I was able to get in excess of 17 hours. Make sure to get the app, to adjust settings. You will not be disappointed.

So this is my third BT speaker. I also have a big jam box and a Bose. This little Sony has terrific sound and great spacial sound. The bass is as good as you can get out of a speaker this size. Holds a long charge and the light modes are cool too even though it’s only a white light vs colored like the more expensive models. This is the best speaker I have heard in the $100-$400 range.

It plays music, sounds okay, and the app is a pain

Sony Portable Wireless BLUETOOTH® Speaker SRSXB21/W (white) is a well designed and engineered device. The texture is impressive as it has the feel of waterproof fabric which turns out to be dustproof as well. It also has a flashing light function to enhance the music experience. Syncing was as simple as pressing the power/ pairing button for three seconds to initiate the pairing process and then press SRSXB21on the screen of my android device to complete the pairing. I also connected the Sony Portable Wireless BLUETOOTH® Speaker SRSXB21/W (white) to the Sony Music Center app that gives more control over the speaker’s total functionality. Pressing the play/pause button two times advances the playlist, while pressing the play/pause button three times plays the previous track. The volume is not “boom box” loud but, it is loud enough to provide a decent volume to fill an average sized room with a pure clear and rich sound quality of whatever type of audio you are listening. There is also a way to connect multiple Sony Portable Wireless BLUETOOTH® SRSXB21/W (white) Speakers together to place them over a wide area, which is a dynamic way to have surround sound. I enjoy using my Sony Portable Wireless BLUETOOTH® Speaker SRSXB21/W (white).

I was really disappointed with this product. The battery did not hold a charge for a long time. After a couple of hours it needed to be plugged in and the volume goes really low. I guess the fancy light caused it to lose it's power sooner.

The Sony SRS-XB21 has a disappointing battery life; with volume at less than 60% towards its final hour(s) of battery life. I will be returning this product because it was a Christmas gift to my dad, and he wants the Sony SRS-XB3.

This speaker is more compatible for an Iphone than an android and it won't connect to all my devices. Sound is okay but I have bought speakers for less than half the price that are just as good. Not happy with this purchase.

I've been using this speaker for a few weeks now. I wanted to have a loud speaker I could take from room to room while working on projects around the house and in the garage. This little powerhouse easily feels every room with great sounding audio. Lets get the disclaimer out of the way, I'm not some audiophile who picks apart every sound from every speaker. I just don't have the ear for it. With that out of the way, this ticks all the boxes for me. Easily connects, portable, loud without distortion, portable, customizable sound. I Bluetooth this to my phone, put my phone in my pocket, and carry the Sony SRS with me as I jump from project to project. It's small enough I can throw in the car if i'm going to a bonfire or sitting outside enjoying the weather at a friends house. If I had to come up with one gripe about it, it would be that the charger/audio jack is hidden behind a rubber door. I'm assuming this is to keep dust out of this area, which is nice, but an extra step every time you need to charge it. Not a big deal, not worth taking off a star anyways. I have tried a couple other brands and this is the loudest and clearest sounding of the lot.

The Sony - SRS-XB21 is a solid portable bluetooth speaker. Basic set-up and pairing was smooth and painless, as was using the Music Center and Fiestable apps. The sound is strong and high-quality for it's size. The battery life is long-lasting and just keeps on playing. It offers the ability to tap 5 points on the unit and hear 5 different percussion sounds. These can be customized and are, apparently, aimed at adding 'spice' to a party setting. It takes more of a 'thump' than a 'tap' to get the sounds to play, but work well with this unit. On the 3-pound XB41, which I also have, I found this feature less practical. Another feature I thoroughly enjoyed was pairing up the two speakers I have (XB21 & XB41). Setting this up was challenging (I almost gave up). Thankfully, I finally found instructions on the Sony website that worked for me. Using both speakers together delivers a thoroughly enjoyable surround sound experience. You can add a large number of speakers in this series together for an expansive saturation of sound. This is a solid bluetooth speaker that, for it's size, produces surprisingly high-quality sound.

After only a couple of months it wouldn’t connect to Bluetooth devices. Had trouble charging frequently.

Mine (which I thought was a steal at $40.00) had a battery that lasted 3 hours at best. The orange charging light would never go off (regardless of bluetooth setting in Sony Music app). Linking this with an XB22 was pointless (volume was off all the time, trying to correct one would make the other go higher, a total pain). And I am a diehard Sony fan, thank god I still have my beat up SRS-HG1!!!

When the battery gets to half charge, it says "Please charge" and turns down the volume. If you try to increase volume, it refuses and restates "please charge."

I can not really rate the speaker. It sounded OK in the store. But I was unable sync it with Alexa. I believe it had more to do with the APP on my phone.

This is a GREAT little speaker, and has BIG sound. It has surround sound functionality, and it is so compact. You will enjoy this speaker. Comes in so many colors, I got blue. The speaker has great battery life, and has some very nice features.

I bought this because the package said 8 hours on one charge. I can’t get it to last 90 minutes.

This speaker is incredible! It is packed with features like NFC, lighting, water resistance, and the live sound option. The sound quality is genuinely amazing, with rich bass along with clear highs and mids which is very surprising from such a small speaker. The live sound feature is my favorite; with the push of a button, the speaker fills the WHOLE room with sound that seems to be coming from every direction. I'm not sure how Sony is able to pull this off but it is truly a feature worth buying this for when comparing it to other speakers without this ability. The built in NFC makes connecting to the speaker very easy, the lights add a sense of fun as well. If you are looking for a small, feature packed home and portable speaker with amazing sound you found the right one!

poor battery life. really doesn't last long after playing on max volume at a party, etc.
