I got this on sale for about $50. The sound quality is amazing and I use it during every shower I take to listen to music. The lights are a bit annoying, but luckily you can turn that off. When the power gets low it'll get a lot quieter and constantly say, "battery charge" but you can still listen to music. The quality is still really good when it's low battery, but it's super quiet so unless you have it right next to you it's a good idea to charge it back up.

Pretty good sound quality for the price. However don't buy this if you are looking for deep base. Unfortunately it sounds small.

Got this as a gift for pre-teen grandson, so some of my feedback comes from his father. The are very impressed with the audio quality of this speaker, particularly the bass output. My son thought it provided great audio compared to other speakers at or above it’s price point. Grandson also enjoys the mood lights surrounding the speaker. I bought this item specifically because I’ve had great experiences with Sony audio and photography products and I’m glad I did.

We had our Bose speaker stolen so we bought this as a replacement. It works very well and we are very happy with it!

I was almost going to skip over this one because it was small and I was worried about how good the sound quality would be. Turns out, this thing sounds great! Most impressive is that you feel like the sound is coming out around you, instead of coming out directly at you. This is the first time I've experienced this with a small speaker like this. The sound quality is great, not at all what I expected. Live mode, which I normally don't like, sounds very good on this one. Since it is waterproof and dust proof, you can take this outside to the beach, leave it out on the porch, or just not have to worry about it getting ruined no matter where you are using it. I could feel a rubber coating on it, likely to help with drop protection. It has a solid feel and is of a decent weight, not at all what I expected for a small speaker. As with the other Sony speakers like this, you can join them together and create a wireless network of these speakers that are all playing the same thing at the same time. This is very cool and don't think anyone else has this feature. The battery is rated at 12 hours, and I have not had the chance to let it go that long, I am at 6 hours and still going strong with about 60 percent left. I don't have the volume up very loud, but this assures me it can go on for quite awhile. The lights on this are not like the other speakers Sony has released, these are not color changing and there isn't much light that comes out of this. Sound quality, battery life, and being waterproof are the strong points of this one, and Sony got these right on these points. If you want a very decent quality speaker, at a great price point, this is the one to get. The sound quality does not disappoint and I can tell you that the way this does surround sound is more than impressive. Plus because it is small, it is easy to pack if going on travel, to the beach, etc.

Great portable speaker for the yard, poolside, or anywhere around the home. 12 hour battery is also a positive.
