Very Pleased

My only recommendation would be for the power button, volume etc.. that they would be more visible. While its sleek that you can barely see them, it is difficult for someone older. This was a gift for my 94 year old father and he definitely has trouble with the buttons.

Its a Sony Budget Speaker, you get what you expect

The bass is not as punchy as the JBL but I like it this way better. The USB-C is a great addition but removal of NFC is missed. Also removal of AUX is not that bad as thr latency is almost 0.

Nice reasonable quality product

I use the unit on zoom mic works well. Also I play pandora off my cell phone. Sony make a good unit. I like the cord makes it simple to hang on a hook or bicycle even wrap it around your arm.

Good speaker

They did get static after a while with all of them connected in a 2400 sq foot space. But as an individual speaker, it works well. I still like the jbl speakers best

It's also good to note the average distance for the Party Connect feature is about 9 feet. However, this distance can vary with the amount of interference in your location.

Really great speaker

He is so happy with it and used it all summer. He really loves to turn it up loud, which drives me crazy, but if it makes him happy, that means that I am happy. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys a loud speaker and great sound.

Buy different colors if pairing.

Initially wanted two of one color, but the reality is that one of each color makes pairing simpler as the app to pair identifies the speakers by color. Buy one of each color

12 hours: Volume level of the unit set to 34, the sound mode set to STAMINA.
10 hours: Volume level of the unit set to 31 and with the factory default settings (sound mode: EXTRA BASS).
3 hours: Volume level of the unit set to maximum and with the factory default settings (sound mode: EXTRA BASS).
As with any battery operated speaker, Actual performance time may vary from the listed time due to the volume, songs played, surrounding temperature, and usage conditions.

Great compact, portable speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Sony SRS-XB23 is a high quality, compact, lightweight Bluetooth speaker. It is the size of a couple of soda cans stacked on top of one another and fits nicely into cupholders. It is easy to carry and one end of the speaker has a lanyard for hanging it to railing or whatever. I had no issues pairing it to my iPhone and the Bluetooth connection range is a good 30-ft or so. I did not play the speaker at max volume, but the sound of the speaker at mid-levels sounds great. The bass is decent for a speaker of this size, and the midrange and highs were crisp. I also installed the Sony Music Center app and was able to further fine tune the sound of the speaker. Fully charged, I was able to use it 8+ hours with no issues. Its waterproof design is a big plus also, since I plan on taking on vacation with me to the beach this summer. I have enjoyed it so far, and can honestly say that the SRS-XB23 is one of my favorite portable Bluetooth speakers. Highly recommended.
