Great compact, portable speaker

It is the size of a couple of soda cans stacked on top of one another and fits nicely into cupholders. It is easy to carry and one end of the speaker has a lanyard for hanging it to railing or whatever. I had no issues pairing it to my iPhone and the Bluetooth connection range is a good 30-ft or so. I did not play the speaker at max volume, but the sound of the speaker at mid-levels sounds great. The bass is decent for a speaker of this size, and the midrange and highs were crisp. I also installed the Sony Music Center app and was able to further fine tune the sound of the speaker. Fully charged, I was able to use it 8+ hours with no issues. Its waterproof design is a big plus also, since I plan on taking on vacation with me to the beach this summer. I have enjoyed it so far, and can honestly say that the SRS-XB23 is one of my favorite portable Bluetooth speakers. Highly recommended.

Great sound, but not for LR with cathedral celing

Too much space and the bass was lost and sounded empty, so I returned it. My previous purchase of the Wonder Boom will continue to be my go to for my needs for now. Replaced it with Logitech 3 piece 2.1 speaker system. Nice sale price too! I'm very happy. Perfection!

Thanks for the feedback The SRS-XB23 has undergone extensive shock testing to make sure it can withstand the inevitable knocks, bumps and scrapes that come with everyday use. Even if you drop it, the SRS-XB23 will keep on working. It also has an IP67 rating which makes the speaker dustproof, waterproof, rustproof and washable

I have used it about a half dozen times so far and it worked well every time. I have yet to test the range it has but it works all over the house. I have not had to recharge it yet either.

Great when used as a stereo pair!

Bass isn’t huge or too clear but for the price it is really not bad at all! Especially using 2 at a time as my computer speakers I’ve come to really enjoy them.

It Paired without issues and sounds great for movies and music for and elder person. It has enough bass kick. Younger audiences may need more of a punch but works good for what its supposed to do. Just wish the buttons were a bit more contrasted from the background. Not great for older eyes.

Pretty comparable to the competition like the UE and JBL, ends up being your preference. I have tried all 3 comparable models.
