Out of the box pairing to my iPhone was incredibly fast, quick download of the Sony app to tweak the speaker’s settings and we were enjoying music poolside. The sound is rich and full outside by the pool and the fact it is waterproof is a major plus. No need worrying if it gets knocked in the pool or if is gets caught in the rain. It took getting knocked over like a champ, no skipping no scratches. Fully charged it lasted all day outside, 8+ hours and still had battery to spare. I like that it uses a usb-c cable to charge and not a proprietary cable, making it so easy to charge. I look forward to taking this on vacation to the enjoy tunes while relaxing. I am quite pleased with this speaker, the size is perfect to put in a cup holder and it sounds fantastic! Would definitely recommend and a great sounding affordable Bluetooth speaker with power to spare.

We're glad you like the sound quality of the speaker and it is unfortunate that the unit had to be returned. If you want a speaker that has a headphones port, we recommend our SRS-XG300. The SRS-XB23 has undergone extensive shock testing to make sure it can withstand the inevitable knocks, bumps and scrapes that come with everyday use. Even if you drop it, the SRS-XB23 will keep on working. It also has an IP67 rating which makes the speaker dustproof, waterproof, rustproof and washable. Thank you for sharing your experience and we hope you will consider Sony again in a future purchase.
