I've taken it outdoors camping and attaching it to my bike. The only thing is that I hoped for more battery life, but besides that, it's all good!

This was purchased so that we could listen to our music outside on the patio without the installation of wired speakers. For that, it does a great job. My only caution deals with volume. Don't push the volume to it's limits. If you do, the sound will not be crisp.

Will look into it further. The instructions are minimal and picture oriented, so have to go online to get meow instructions,

While we're glad you like most of the features, we're sorry to learn you're experiencing unexpected issues with the second speaker to work. If you're unable to turn on the speaker or the speaker suddenly turns off, follow the steps provided below to resolve the issue:
• The rechargeable built-in battery may be empty or running low. Connect the speaker to an AC outlet with a USB AC adaptor (commercially available).
• The auto power off (Auto Standby) function may have activated. After about 15 minutes in certain circumstances, such as when the volume of the audio input is low, the power will automatically turn off. Raise the volume of the connected device for use, or set the auto power function to off.

Great outdoor speaker

I like the ruggedness, being water proof / dust proof / drop proof makes it fantastic to take outdoors. I have taken it to the golf course, using the built in clip to hang from my golf bag. Used it at a bonfire, sitting it in the cup holder of my camping chair (fits perfect!) Battery life is great, it played music all night without quitting. The sound quality is good and the volume can be turned up pretty high without distortion. The bass seems a bit better than earlier Sony models, which is nice I got the green speaker, which fits in nicely with my outdoor gear. Pairing is a breeze. The only thing I would have wished to see included would be a visual representation of battery life left on the speaker rather than audio messages stating the battery is low.

I replaced another sony speaker with this one. I wish this one had an option for direct connection when there's no wifi available like the older speaker had.
