The SRS-XB23 speaker features EXTRA BASS for a deep, punchy sound and with a battery that can last up to 12 hours. We really value your input regarding the battery life.

      12 hours: Volume level of the unit set to 34, the sound mode set to STAMINA.

    We used a handful of times and now it will not stay charged even if plugged in overnight. We never had it wet or anything extreme that would of caused it to malfunction. Disappointed with this purchase

      We apologize if our SRS-XB23 did not meet your expectations. We also regret to hear that you're hearing unwanted noise on your speaker. It's unfortunate that you're considering to return the unit. We'd love to troubleshoot the issue and make this a better experience for you. The communication between the devices will be poor if there is an obstruction between the unit and the connected device. Try the following:



      • For crackling/noise in the speaker output: Keep the speaker away from a microwave oven, Wi-Fi®, etc. Bring the BLUETOOTH device closer to the speaker. If there is any obstacle between the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device, move it out of the way.

      - Pair the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device again.

      - Turn off any nearby electronic devices that may be interfering with the speaker sound.

      - When using the Stereo Pair function or Party Connect function, if any other BLUETOOTH device(s) such as a BLUETOOTH mouse or BLUETOOTH keyboard is connected to the BLUETOOTH device, terminate the connection between them.

      - Select “Priority on stable connection (SBC)” over sound quality. For details, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the device.

      - Install the latest version of “Sony | Music Center” on the connected device. If you cannot use the latest version of “Sony | Music Center” or you cannot connect the speaker and a BLUETOOTH device via BLUETOOTH connection, uninstall “Sony | Music Center” and install it again.

    For as much money as you pay you would think that it would be lower is a very very quietI went and bought a $60 speaker the equivalent of the same thing and it was five times this loud

The SRSXB23 is specifically designed for audio clarity throughout its volume range. This is something our music-loving customers appreciate most. That being said the SRSXB23 also gets very loud for its size and audio precision.

      We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. Please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune your SRSXB23 and maximize the volume to your liking. There is even an EQ.

      Please make sure you fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 10%, and hit the auto volume limiter (designed to keep your speaker safe). Then Increase the volume level of the wireless speaker and source devices.

      You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

You may also try the STEREO PAIR in which 2 SRS-XB23 speakers are required. By connecting 2 speakers via BLUETOOTH connection, you can enjoy a more powerful sound.

    Short life expectancy

    I bought this in Jan 2021 and it's broken in Jun 2021. I did not damage it in any way. Its sound just went bad out of the blue

      Hi Mike, We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with low sound of your SRSXB23 Speakers, we'd love to troubleshoot the issue and make this a better experience for you.

      The sound may become low when the built-in battery is running low and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly, while the speaker is being powered by the built-in battery only. Also, when the rechargeable built-in battery is running low as a result of long-time use of the speaker at a loud volume even though the speaker was connected to an AC outlet by the AC adaptor (supplied).

      If the sound becomes low while in use, turn off the speaker and charge the built-in battery sufficiently.
