To get the sound that you prefer, please try the different sound modes found in the Sony Music Center app. There is a built in EQ that has 20 points of control for Bass, Midrange, and Treble. You can also change the speaker set up from Mono to Stereo to suit your needs.

Depending on the music, the EXTRA BASS effects may not be so noticeable. To switch the sound effect from STAMINA mode to EXTRA BASS mode, press and hold the BATT (battery)/STAMINA button for about 3 seconds. The STAMINA indicator will turn off and the sound effect will be switched back to EXTRA BASS mode.

That's good to hear! The SRS-XB23 has undergone extensive shock testing to make sure it can withstand the inevitable knocks, bumps and scrapes that come with everyday use. Even if you drop it, the SRS-XB23 will keep on working. It also has an IP67 rating which makes the speaker dustproof, waterproof, rustproof and washable. Thank you for choosing Sony!
