Ruined the whole surprise and excitement I had planned. It will not power on whatsoever! Tried charging it overnight and no luck. Even when connected directly to an outlet the power will cycle on and then immediately shuts off. Don’t waste your money.

I only enjoyed ii for an couple of months. O noticed that started to have trouble charging the speaker more and more until i noticed that at the connection the port is broken, can’t charge no more, I tried to contact Sony supple and every time I got disconnected before they can help

Thank you for sharing your feedback with the SRSXB23 Bluetooth speaker. It's unfortunate that the speaker charging port is broken after having some difficulties charging the unit. This does not happen often and definitely not the buying experience that we want our customer to have.
Unfortunately, the limited warranty of your speaker does not cover any kind of accidental or physical damage. You may take your unit to an authorized servicer for evaluation to determine the out of warranty repair options available.
You can setup out-of-warranty service with our Authorized Repair Center. To find a servicer near you, please visit https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/service. It is possible that there may not be a servicer listed in your area. If that happens, you can search your local yellow pages business directory for a repair servicer near you.

To return I thought at least 30 days would be sufficient not two weeks and I bought a second one is my second Sony and they both have the same problem they don't sound good at all they don't sound good they turn on and they just don't sound good I want to return it but I did not know that has a short two-week. And I can't return it I'm stuck with two of them now I don't know what to do with them they're brand new and they don't work they don't work right they don't sound good I hate to say it but they do not sound good and I want to return them both I could not return them or the second one I can return it cuz I thought it was only a two-week. I thought at least 30 days so I'm stuck with two of them I'm sorry to say this soni's speaker are are not good at all they don't they tend to squeak the speakers they do not sound good when you turn them up I don't know what's wrong with them but I'm sorry to say they're not good please try to help me return them both if possible like I said 2 weeks. Is not enough time I stayed three days and I'm stuck with him now9

To get the sound that you prefer, please try the different sound modes found in the Sony Music Center app. There is even an EQ in there—which can be customized to fine-tune your music to your liking. If you haven't yet, you can also test this with a different source to confirm the issue. Depending on the music, the EXTRA BASS effects may not be so noticeable. To switch the sound effect from STAMINA mode to EXTRA BASS mode, press and hold the BATT (battery)/STAMINA button for about 3 seconds. The STAMINA indicator will turn off and the sound effect will be switched back to EXTRA BASS mode.
Lithium-ion battery life Approx. (please ensure a full charge)
12 hours: Volume level of the unit set to 34, the sound mode set to STAMINA.
10 hours: Volume level of the unit set to 31 and with the factory default settings (sound mode: EXTRA BASS).

Bluetooth connection drops

I thought it might be something with my smartphone or a station or podcast that I was playing. It didn't seem to happen with other speakers or earbuds. I finally decided that the Sony bluetooth was dropping out. It has gotten worse over the months to the point where sometimes it is no longer a pause but complete cessation of the program I am listening to. Very disappointed.

Bought a lemon

I've had it for 2 months and it will not hold a charge for the life of me. I will leave it charging all night and it still won't get a full charge and then if I use it one time it begins to say "please charge" when you turn it on again. Too late to return it, but wish I could, didn't know this was going to be a problem.

Bring the BLUETOOTH device closer to the speaker. If there is any obstacle between the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device, move it out of the way. Locate the speaker farther away from a TV, radio or tuner, etc. since noise may occur in broadcasts.
You can enjoy 2 different sound effects. When you purchase the speaker, the EXTRA BASS mode is set.
STAMINA - (EXTRA BASS OFF) - Power saving
EXTRA BASS - (EXTRA BASS ON) (factory default settings) - Heavy bass sound
To switch the sound effect from EXTRA BASS mode to STAMINA mode, press and hold the BATT (battery)/STAMINA button for about 3 seconds.
The STAMINA indicator lights up in orange and the sound effect is switched to STAMINA mode.

This is definitely not the experience we want you to have. Let us help and make this a better experience for you. We'd like to troubleshoot and isolate the power-related issue with the unit. Does the power indicator light up when you press the power button on the speaker? If not, connect one end of the supplied USB Type-C cable to the DC IN 5V port on the speaker and the other end to a USB AC adaptor, and then connect the USB AC adaptor to an AC outlet. Make sure that the USB cable is connected securely to the speaker and the USB AC adaptor. If you have a different AC adapter, connect the USB cable to it and check if you can charge your speaker. If you are using a computer to charge, try a different USB port. Check if you can charge a different device using the AC adapter or computer USB port. If the AC adapter or computer USB port can charge other devices and the speaker still does not turn on. The speaker may be malfunctioning.

We apologize if our SRS-XB23 did not meet your expectations. We also regret to hear that you're hearing unwanted noise on your speaker. It's unfortunate that you're considering to return the unit. We'd love to troubleshoot the issue and make this a better experience for you. The communication between the devices will be poor if there is an obstruction between the unit and the connected device. Try the following:
• For crackling/noise in the speaker output: Keep the speaker away from a microwave oven, Wi-Fi®, etc. Bring the BLUETOOTH device closer to the speaker. If there is any obstacle between the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device, move it out of the way.
- Pair the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device again.
- Turn off any nearby electronic devices that may be interfering with the speaker sound.
- When using the Stereo Pair function or Party Connect function, if any other BLUETOOTH device(s) such as a BLUETOOTH mouse or BLUETOOTH keyboard is connected to the BLUETOOTH device, terminate the connection between them.
- Select “Priority on stable connection (SBC)” over sound quality. For details, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the device.
- Install the latest version of “Sony | Music Center” on the connected device. If you cannot use the latest version of “Sony | Music Center” or you cannot connect the speaker and a BLUETOOTH device via BLUETOOTH connection, uninstall “Sony | Music Center” and install it again.

The SRSXB23 is specifically designed for audio clarity throughout its volume range. This is something our music-loving customers appreciate most. That being said the SRSXB23 also gets very loud for its size and audio precision.
We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. Please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune your SRSXB23 and maximize the volume to your liking. There is even an EQ.
Please make sure you fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 10%, and hit the auto volume limiter (designed to keep your speaker safe). Then Increase the volume level of the wireless speaker and source devices.
You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

We would like to know more about the situation you faced with the speaker and help you out. If you haven't yet, please try the following troubleshooting steps below to help resolve the issue.
If you are having an issue with the sound quality, please try the different sound modes found in the Sony Music Center app to get the sound that you prefer. There is even an EQ in there—which can be customized to fine-tune your music to your liking. Bring the BLUETOOTH device closer to the speaker. If there is any obstacle between the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device, move it out of the way. Also, test this with a different source to confirm the issue.
