This Sony speaker not only sounds great, projecting the sound and producing clear audio that makes listening a pleasure, but its one of the nicest looking Bluetooth speakers I've ever owned. This thing looks slick and even the lights are a nice touch. With IPX67 water resistance its durable enough to travel and if you add the Android App to help tune the speaker and add some fun additions you got a winner. I also love that this speaker with a 24 hour battery (depending on usage and lighting effects) can also charge your phone so it can double as a backup battery to keep the party going. I've been using it as my main computer speakers and am very happy with it. Music plays great and like I said sounds good. I know I'm gushing, but this is a truly nice looking speaker that also sounds great, something I don't mind displaying while it beats the tunes out. I've been using it for the last week and am very happy with it. It works and works well. Its everything I would want in a portable speaker and think Sony did a great job with this one. The app is a nice touch, though since I use this with a computer I wish they'd release a computer app too so I didn't have to grab my phone to adjust the bass and such, but its a minor complaint for such a great speaker.

IP67 rating. Great sound. Loud! Light show? Drum machine??? 24 hour + battery life! All the above are true. This is a really fantastic speaker that is IP67 rated. Feel free to get it dirty and wash it off. It is solid as a brick. In addition to a light bar and strobe lights behind the grill, it has pressure sensitivity to act as a drum machine based on where you beat it. You can also set it to change volume based on how you punish it. Hit it hard, volume up. Tap it lightly, volume down. This is a smart speaker unlike a classic smart speaker. There is no assistant built in, it is smart in it translates your physical input. Don't ask it questions, it is not that type of smart. The sound is exactly what you expect from Sony, a really solid all around performer wit fantastic battery performance. From initial tests, over 24 hours of play time. Make sure you install the Music Center app from Sony, in addition to managing your speaker and the music apps used by default, you can set them up in party mode if you have more than one. It has all the bells and whistles needed. NFC, BT, Aux in, etc. Buy one, no buy two! They are fun speakers we look forward to having poolside or at the beach. I recommend two times!!
