The only thing I wish I could change, which is why I gave it a 4 stars is because the battery dies a little to fast in my opinion especially if you like to blast the speaker. Other then that I love it very durable not a cheap speaker

I had the last version of this speaker and it wouldn’t hold a charge anymore. Had to pay the difference for the new speaker which was a bummer but it’s a good speaker.

I’ve had my fair share of Bluetooth speakers and this is my favorite to date. It is perfect for the deck or any road trip really. Great sound, extra bass, water proof, dust proof, and great battery life! What more could you ask for really? Using the speaker is a breeze and the built in lights make just another cool addition to this amazing speaker. Ports for charging your other devices are also available when needed. I’m very impressed with the build quality, sound, and features of the device. Highly recommended!

I purchased this speaker because i had work travel and I wanted a speaker to carry with me that was lighter weight but did everything I needed. My only issue is that it's not smart enough to connect to other devices or smarthings

I did my research, this is my first blu-tooth speaker. It exceeds every aspect. Price is great, quality is awesome, battery kicks boo-tay! Love it! Lights are sweet too!

With all the wireless speaker options available these days, it is a wonder that any manufacturer can offer anything that feels special, different, or that stands out from the rest. This little speaker enters the field with elbows and excuse me-s. The first thing I noticed about the device was the packaging. The SRSXB31 comes in a modern, tight, easy to open package. There are minimal contents – speaker, handful of literature, charging cable. The device itself is unique, to say the least, and feels exactly what it is – well built. You can feel the quality of the device when handling it. There are control buttons on the top of the speaker, as well as buttons and ports on the back. Included in these is a full-sized USB port and, wait for it, a 1/8th inch audio port. Yep, you can go old-school and make a non-Bluetooth audio connection to the speaker. To that fact alone, I say thank you Sony! Some confuse such decisions with being dated, but honestly, it makes this one of the most versatile speaker options available. Anytime I get a new Bluetooth device, I always measure how fast I can get it working. I mean, my mention of packaging and the simplicity of opening it, makes this even more favorable or irritating. No exaggeration, but this was the most satisfying Bluetooth pairing process I have encountered to date. I had this thing out of the box and connected to my phone in just over 30 seconds! Within a minute and a half music was playing on the device. Sony has really taken an approach that favors the user. Turn the power on, see the device in your Bluetooth list, and pair…. Done! Once I started the music, I immediately noticed one thing: that bass! The lows resonate for a speaker this size. The sound seemed warm and rich, but clear. I was worried that the bass would consume the rest of the audio range, but that wasn’t the case. I did notice that the sound clarity seemed to balance more at higher volumes. At low volumes, the lows seem to be much more prevalent. This speaker really has punch. Crank up the volume, and you will fill a decent sized room with sound. Add to that the ability to wirelessly daisy chain multiple speakers, and you have quite a bit of potential. I’m interested to see where Sony goes with this. I would love the ability to connect to other audio output devices other than speakers in the SRS series… Hopefully, we will see some flexibility in this area. Another thing you notice about this device is the lighting. This thing puts on a light show while it plays – flashing, colors, pulsating… all that! It’s one of those things that I consider a nice to have that could irritate you at times. Well, no worries, you can disable the lighting using a button on the back of the device. At any rate, it definitely serves as a cool little entertainment device. I give the SRSXB31 a big thumbs up. It is one of the best mini Bluetooth speakers I have used, and it is waterproof, chainable, and very flexible. It’s hard to go wrong with this one!

It's a good speaker for when your out cooking on the deck or just playing some music while cleaning around the house.I like that it's clear and the bass is good.

Sony - SRS-XB31 is a great tiny box produces rich sound. Bass/Mid/Treble is perfect for the size of the speaker. Though accompanied app is sort of disaster, but when it works additional features makes this speaker a marvelous product. I would rate this speaker at a 4.5 out of 5. If the app was flawless, it was a perfect 5. Lights on the speaker gives a bit of girly look, but its fun to have that features along with the tap feature which converts this speaker into multiple music instruments. Sony nailed it! I would highly recommend Sony - SRS-XB31 for its sound and features at the current price pint.

Bought this for work. Stays charged for awhile as long as you dont have it all the way up for long periods of time.i work in a loud environment so I have it all the way up so only last a few hours.

This is a mini powerhouse in a compact size. Great and loud sound from your phone, or other blue tooth connected device. Thi device is about the size of a medium water bottle. The outside is great to look at... Good color, shape, and design. The lighting effects, which you can adjust to your liking or just turn off if you want, are a very nice touch. The sound is booming and loud, great for a home, or the patio. I don't have more then one, but the app that comes with it, shows and option to link multiple of these together. Good battery life, for what you would expect. Good value for the price point.

Reasonably priced, easy to use with great sound. We wanted something to use outdoors w our hot tub, so needed to be waterproof. Enjoy the lights as well.

Easy to connect with my ipad and most phones. We did have a couple of phones that could not connect but we are not sure why. Good sound and cool lights!

I bought this as a gift for my brother in law. I can not speak for its performance personally, but my wife tells me he uses it every day & like it.

Very nice speaker. Good for use in a small classroom. But doesn't keep a charge for long. Very annoying that it keeps saying "please charge" after only like 2 hours of use. My cellphone charge last's longer!...smh

Great buy, everyone in the office loves it. I take it with me wherever I go. Love it. Love to get great buys from Best Buy. Lives up to its name.

I love this speaker! I have had JBLs forever so i made a change and i love it! Only thing id complain about is the party mode - no need for it lol

Got this for my husband so he could use it at work. It has been beaten up pretty good but still works great! He loves it!

I didnt have a great experience the first day I use it it stopped working within 2 hours. I cant hear music while I charge it. Is pointless. But sound is great.

The speaker works really well. Have already dropped it from about 4 feet onto concrete and it still works like it never happened nor does it show any visible damage. I think the blinking lights though are a bit much.
