Love the sleek design of this product and once again the salesman knew exactly what i needed and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Coming from a JBL family of portable speakers, this speaker leaves me hoping for better audio. Charge 3 actually had a deeper bass and higher sound level.

This speaker sounds good and appears to be durable; however, after 2 hours full volume, the battery died. The packaging and the best buy associate both led us to believe that this speaker would last us for a day outside on the trails but it did not even come close. Even during home use it needs charged two, if not three, times as much as my 6 year old JBL Charge. I would only recommend this speaker if you intend to use it plugged in/close to a charging source more often than not.

Well changed my ultimate ears for the sony because the battery life said last for 24 hours not at all true last for 5 hrs and app not very good sound is decent.

these speakers are great, great room filling sound, no distortion when turned up, and the ability to "party chain" the speakers is a plus

This fairly small speaker sounds and looks really great and the battery life is remarkable. The bass from this Sony speaker is remarkable for not being a top end speaker. It was one of the better sounding Bluetooth portables I have tried at less then $300. Not just the bass, but it sounds good overall, high range and middle as well, although it was the bass where it really excels. I have played it for 18 hours nonstop (without the lights) and the battery was still going strong. That’s incredible for this kind of sound. The lights are a very cool touch for those that enjoy that kind of extra. For a party they would really add something extra. Out of the box they react to the music playing. You can download an app to control them further (I didn’t and can’t comment on that). A separate Sony app lets you control the speaker and sound and I had no problems with it. Setup and use of the speaker is simple and pretty standard for Bluetooth speakers. Nothing to do with the sound, this speaker “feels” good. It has a kinda of fabric exterior that makes it easy to grip and keep ahold of. Rubber feet keep it in place. Great features considering its portability. It just really feels like it is built solid and durable. Would highly recommend to anyone in the market for a great sounding Bluetooth speaker in the mid price range category

This is an awesome speaker it can link to your phone and to other Sony speakers!! Would recommend for sure. Will be buying another one too.

Great speaker. Only flaw is that the battery drops to 70% quick and seems to stay at that level then it drops to 10%.

This speaker was bought in order to hookup to my vehicle input jack for better sound quality. Now I don't get that "tin" music sound

One of the best sounding Bluetooth speaker around. Use it in my garage and in my car. Works awesome and the led lights add to it.

Poor sound quality, volume decreases fast when playing for a couple of hours. Lights are a plus and beautiful at night. Sony please fix sound quality.

It’s very loud, which is great for dance practice! I wish it came with the power cord. I had to buy that separately.

This is an awesome little speaker especially if your a fan of bass. I use it about 8 hours a day and the charge lasts way longer than the 24 it says, at least for me. The sound quality is great as well and not a bit tinny. The lights are a fun feature as well and so is the party booster feature though I really haven't got to play with it much. The fact you can connect 100 of them makes it a great option for whole house sound as well. I would totally recommend this speaker to anyone in the market for one and I am glad I got it.

Absolutely love it, Super powerful bass, and yes you can turn the lights off if you don’t want them on the whole time.

I'm using this speaker to replace an iHome iBT90 as my main desk speaker. Lets run through different aspects... Sound: The most important feature. The Sony sounds amazing. I've never heard such a full sound coming out of a portable speaker. The iHome is fairly anemic in comparison. Appearance: The Sony has a very stylish and classic look to it. The entire body is wrapped in the textured speaker fabric which should take a beating fairly well without showing it. I don't know how it would deal with sand (as shown on the box), but I also can't imagine taking something this nice and just dropping it on the beach. No cheap-looking plastic and overwhelming light-displays. Lights: There are LEDs which provide color and strobe-like flashing. Thankfully, if you install the Sony Music Center app, you can control these lights, as the flashing gets rather annoying. Once you have control, you can set it to follow the music in different ways, or just cycle through warm colors, cool colors, and other settings. Speaker-phone: This doesn't seem to work terribly well as a speaker phone. I've tried it on multiple calls. One person indicated that the sound was hollow, and slightly difficult to hear. The other had such a hard time hearing me that I had to switch back to the headset. Audio settings: Out of the box, the Sony has an impressive bass sound. This is fantastic for music, but you can also change this setting, and even adjust a 3-band EQ through the app. This is a life-saver if you listen to a lot of podcasts (where excessive bass makes everything sound very odd). Battery: I've been using this for about 8 hours, and the battery rating is still around 50%. I'm not blasting it since I'm indoors, but this is very nice. Summary: While they're marketing this as a party-speaker (which it definitely has the output for), this speaker looks at home on a desk as well. It is easy to use, and the settings are relatively simple to access through the app. I have had one issue where it suddenly cut out, but disconnecting and reconnecting the bluetooth resolved the issue.

Speaker is great, sound is good, the only bad thing is if light is kept on while playing music, batterie drains faster.
