More for parties as the lights give a good party vibe. I bought it on sale. Would not have paid full price for it though. I think it needs a Little more bass.

Great quality on its own though

With default settings, battery MAY last 4 hours. Upon working with Sony support, I find out in order for the battery to last you must turn off the Extra Bass feature and keep the volume low. The Bass feature was one of the reasons I chose this device. Being outside, the volume needs to be loud to combat other noise so needless to say, I’m disappointed. Would be a good speaker to keep inside or play for short periods.

I think the first 1 had a little better sound quality but this one is still a very nice choice for the money. To get the better sound you have to spend almost double.

The accompaned instructions are different from other sources that tell you how to. I have resorted to direct wiring as a result
