This is Sony’s newest version of the previous XB31. As an owner of both the XB21 & XB41, I can say that Sony upgraded features to an already good Bluetooth speaker. This speaker pretty much has the same features as the previous model. Sony claims the battery life is 24 hours, thus far, I have gotten 14 hours and the unit is still going strong! The party chain is easy to employ as I added the XB21, XB41, V11, all of which connected well without any hiccups. Additionally, I took a couple of calls and this speaker is clear and concise as I did not experience any distortion or scratchiness during conversation. The really cool thing about this speaker is its portability. You will be the life of the party or if you just prefer to just easy listen while on break at work or just sitting in your home, car, appointment, etc; this speaker would not be a burden to carry around. More importantly, you’ll experience first class sound and be the cool life of the party as the beautiful strobe lights will be an attention drawer, no matter where you are!

I recently purchased speaker for a pool party at my house. I was originally looking at a JBL model until I saw this one in store. I had read some reviews and then the lights caught my attention. I was so excited. However, after playing this speaker for several hours on full volume, as you would at a pool party, the volume began to decrease significantly! I had friends asking why my brand new speaker wasn't loud anymore and kept requesting to turn it up. My volume was as high as it could go on my phone. I hit the battery button on the back and it said it had 50% battery life remaining. I was very upset!!! I had tried to play this several other times with friends over and still does the same major volume decrease. I am extremely unhappy with this product and I feel that it is NOT worth the $150 that I spent! I can buy a better quality speaker at a much lower cost that exceeds this. I am embarrassed that I trust Sony with my outdoor music enjoyment. This is not an enjoyment beyond 3 hours. I will be returning this item ASAP! Get it together Sony!

Great quality and features, but I wish the sound a little more punch to it.

I couldn't think of a better headline. It has a good presentation for someone who likes the "show". Personally, I think it's more show than quality. I don't think it has enough bass. I'm honestly thinking on returning it but will give it a try once again full blast with different songs to see if it passes the test.

I bought this based on other reviews and being on sale. :-) I thought I try it out, it wasn't for me. The sound was just not clean and was just thumpy base is all it was with lights. I got the JBL charge 4 and Anker soundcore+ and they both sound cleaner in their own ways than the SB32. Therefore, I returned it.

Overall, good product but wish the battery lasted longer after a full charge.

Great speaker for the price. Wife loves it. Was a great gift.

Sony XB32 Extra Bass lives up to the name. I wasn’t expecting much difference from other comparable portable speakers but this thing packs the bass. Straight out of the box you can feel that the build quality is superior to many other portables out there. It feels good in the hand and is sturdy enough to sit wherever you place it either horizontally or vertically. I was hoping for more volume but that is the only area I can say this speaker lacks which is why I gave only 4 stars, not saying that it doesn’t get loud which it does plenty, just from the size it makes you feel like there is room for more volume. I didn’t use the Sony music app or the party lights which all feel gimmicky to me because the speaker is enough on its own. It charges fast and the battery lasts for days without constant playing. I’ve used it for a week at least a couple hours a day and haven’t depleted the battery fully. It also has a very helpful USB port to charge your phone if the battery is low on your phone. All in all, worth the purchase and lives up to the Sony name.

You can take calls from speaker. Really handsfree.

I really wanted to like this one but it just wouldn't work with my moto g7 power phone (bt erratic, volume was very low)...I ended up getting the xb31 when it was on sale for a hundred and volum/bt/speaker pairing is a 1k times improved!!

I am about to return this product. I went over the reviews and thought of purchasing it. after 2 weeks of use, I realized that it is only good when you keep it near you. If you are outside or it is kept far from you, it sounds normal. Its not loud as per the expectation.

Works for what I bought it for and works well . Happy with purchase
