Thanks for sharing your review and experience with the SRSXB33. We regret to hear that you are not satisfied with the volume of the speaker. We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your XB33. Please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools like an equalizer to fine-tune your XB33 and maximize the volume to your liking. Please also ensure that you fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 10%, and hit the auto volume limiter (designed to keep your speaker safe). Then increase the volume level of the wireless speaker and source devices.
You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different audio compression and transmission types.
