I purchased another and paired them for an outdoor cookout and it was great. The sound was amazing and loud enough to cover both the side and back of a large yard. With 2 you can use the Pair feature which provides a left and right speaker sound or the Party mode which syncs them both. Both features take seconds to initiate. This is a Great buy. You will not regret it!!

Press and hold the BATT (battery)/LIGHT button behind the cap on the rear side of the speaker for about 3 seconds until the lighting function turns off and repeat the steps to turn it on again.
Also, by using the “Illumination” function on “Sony Music Center,” you can turn on/off the lighting function or choose the various lighting modes. It has a built in microphone, that was most important. The built in mic is nice, my family and i can hear each other clearly. Besides not being able to skip a song, thats the only issue i have. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

My first introduction to the Sony product product line was through my first walkman, loved it. Their products are just as good now as they were back then. It takes tweaking the settings on this speaker a little bit but once you set it to your liking it's awesome. Worth the price.
