You got a great deal with the SRSXB33. Your feedback about the speaker lights is greatly appreciated. You do have the option to turn this function off. Press and hold the BATT (battery)/LIGHT button behind the cap on the rear side of the speaker for about 3 seconds until the lighting function turns off/on. By using the “Illumination” function on “Sony | Music Center,” you can also turn on/off the lighting function or choose the various lighting modes.

If you haven't yet, downloading the Music Center app allows you to select your favorite playlists, cue the next song, or change the lighting patterns and sound modes of the unit. There is a built-in EQ that has 20 points of control for Bass, Midrange, and Treble. You can also change the speaker set up from Mono to Stereo to suit your needs- this will surely enhance your listening experience!
