If you haven't yet, downloading the Music Center app allows you to select your favorite playlists, cue the next song, or change the lighting patterns and sound modes of the unit. There is a built-in EQ that has 20 points of control for Bass, Midrange, and Treble. You can also change the speaker set up from Mono to Stereo to suit your needs- this will surely enhance your listening experience!

Great party portable speaker

The speaker is well built, with excellent sound quality and does not feel heavy. The battery is supposed to last 24 hours, but I have used it intermittently everyday for almost a week without recharging. Similar to other SRS series of portable speakers, this one comes with line LED light that syncs with the music. You can also change the color of the light or completely turn it off. This speaker is IP67 rated, which means it is waterproof and dust resistant. Sony mentions that it is also shockproof and saltwater resistant, which are nice to have and not something I would want to try. By closing the cover for the connection at the back of the speaker, you can submerge or run this speaker under running water to clean. All the controls are housed on the top panel on a rubber strip. Now to the best features part, one such thing is the easy pairing of the speaker using Bluetooth or NFC connection. Another feature I like is the ability to connect up to 100 wireless speakers and sync the music. The charging of the speaker is done via USB C cable, which is a nice change compared to traditional micro USB. It also comes with a USB A port that you can use to charge other devices, making this speaker a portable battery pack. The speaker can also be used for handsfree calling, although not everyone might use this feature all the time. Overall, it is a great update from Sony on their SRS line of portable speakers and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great quality portable speaker.
