We appreciate your review of the SRSXB33 speaker. It's unfortunate that you are not having a complete experience because of its volume. Turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. Pair the speaker again with your source device. You can also use the sound settings and equalizer function of the Sony Music Center app to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs. I wanted them to have something to take on their Cancun honeymoon to safely take to beach. This bass is somewhat underwhelming though.

Please note that installing the speaker in a confined space, such as a bookcase or built-in cabinet may result in overheating and thermal issues. Always use the correct charger and refer to the manufacturer's instructions or equipment manual for proper charging instructions.

But it’s not worth 150 dollars I paid

We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. Please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune your XB33 and maximize the volume to your liking. There is even an EQ.
Please make sure you fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 10%, and hit the auto volume limiter (designed to keep your speaker safe).
Then Increase the volume level of the wireless speaker and source devices.
You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

The light function is a bit much, and can be easily turned off if you choose to. Lightweight and pretty rugged, happy with it for the price point.

If you still have the unit, please try following the steps below as these may help improve your overall listening experience.
The XB33 is specifically designed for audio clarity throughout its volume range. This is something our music-loving customers appreciate most. That being said the SRSXB33 also gets very loud for its size and audio precision. We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. Aside from turning on the EXTRA BASS sound feature, we recommend downloading the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools like an equalizer (there is a built-in EQ that has 20 points of control for Bass, Midrange, and Treble) to fine-tune your XB33 and maximize the volume to your liking. Additionally, please make sure that you fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 10%, and hit the auto volume limiter (designed to keep your speaker safe). Then Increase the volume level of the wireless speaker and connected device. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different audio compression and transmission types. However, they did bring it to the car, and we didn't have to go in the store to pick it up.

Would have given it 5 stars except that it gets a little temperamental keeping the two speakers synced to the stereo setting sometimes.
