For the size it has a nice sound quality and loudness. The lights and ability to charge my device are extra fun. Battery lasts a long time. Fully charged it can sustain a party. Me friend accidentally spilled her drink all over it and it still works like a champ. Sony has good sound and durability.

We have a garage gym and he needed a new speaker. I originally wanted to get some type of speaker system, but when I found out you could connect to more than 1 of these I was sold. I bought him two and they work great! We bought little shelves to place one on each side of his weight rack. The only downfall is that they die pretty quickly, he has to charge them every other day (however he also works out anywhere from 2-3 hrs a day so they are on for a while). Otherwise, overall great purchase!

Giant speaker, below average volume

The speaker is giant, the volume is below average I would say. For the little party in the backyard it would not work, you would need at least two of these so everyone can hear music. Indoor works well. The thing I don't understand, why not put extra effort into the sound instead of the flashy light show imbedded into it.

Not too bad for the price

They are so expensive now but WOW, the sound and bass was fantastic. I am a Metal-head and I will miss it. For the price, the Sony XB33 isn't too bad. A little tingy sounding but real easy to use and hook up. Sounds better when it is on the ground to add some bass feel to it. Lights up to the music beat but I wish they would spent their money on more bass.

Haven't had it long but great speaker to bring on hikes, workouts, or to the beach. Very easy to connect to, probably the simplest I've ever used. Really good quality and battery life that lasts all day. There is an awesome feature that allows it to pair up with other speakers (like itself) to synchronize the music called party mode.
