We regret to hear that it hasn't lived up to your expectations. The sound may become low in the following cases. This is not a malfunction:
-When the built-in battery is running low and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly, while the speaker is being powered by the built-in battery only.
-When the rechargeable built-in battery is running low as a result of long-time use of the speaker at a loud volume even though the speaker was connected to an AC outlet by a USB AC adaptor (commercially available) or to a computer that comes equipped with a USB charging port.
If the sound becomes low while in use, follow the procedure below.
-Turn off the speaker.
-Charge the built-in battery sufficiently.

More than I had hoped for

Plus ear buds hurt my ears after wearing them for a time. This speaker has fulfilled that purpose admirably. On long calls to my family members ( since we can't see them in person now) it gives me the volume I need to hear them that my phone did not. I did not intend to use this speaker as a music streaming over bluetooth speaker. However, I have been using it more and more for that purpose too. I stream the tune -in app to it on the go. For such a small speaker the sound is amazingly good. I am even considering buying a second one to pair with it to create a portable on the go stereo sound system.
