I was able to pair it with my phone so now I can take calls without using the phone's built in speaker and get a much better sound and keep my hands free and people don't have trouble hearing me.

BATTERY LIFE SETTINGS
Approx. 14 hours (The lighting function/ Volume at 35)
Approx. 4 hours (EXTRA BASS on/The lighting function/ Volume at 50)
That being said, just like any other battery-operated speaker, the actual performance time may vary due to the volume, songs played, the surrounding temperature, and usage conditions.

Better value than JBL

Was ready to buy the charge 4, but saw this speaker in the recommended section. This speaker has a variety of options that the JBL charge series of speaker doesn’t offer when you download the apps. Sound quality is comparable to the charge but with the additional features the Sony is a better deal.

I watched a movie on my laptop with this speaker and it sounded like a theatre! I love it!

To get the most out of the volume, please try the different sound modes found in the Sony Music Center app, until you find the one you like for outdoor or indoor settings. There is even an EQ in there. You may also try the STEREO PAIR in which 2 SRS-XB33 speakers are required. By connecting 2 speakers via BLUETOOTH connection, you can enjoy a more powerful sound. For a home office when I have some mindless tasks and when I can crank up the music. Shut the lights off --battery button, but might be a feature to use someday!!

Now have tunes or dialog throughout the house, garage and outside. Only limitation is what is broadcast since we re using the TV as a source. Liked it so much we bought a second one. It is a replacement for her older xb12 She loves it. The sound quality is awesome. When she's blasting it you can hear it all over the house. The lights are useless, but they are interesting to watch if you're bored.

I have a few different sizes of this speaker though and I’m not happy with the way they’re advertised. You’re made to think they sync with each other and they don’t unless they’re the same size. That’s a big drawback to me. They shouldn’t make you believe you can use them at the same time because you can’t.
