It connects to my phone quickly and has good sound for the size. Battery takes a while to charge but with the lights turned off it lasts a long time. Great purchase.

Charging time is why I’m giving the SRS-XB33 only four stars...

For the battery issue: When fully charged, the speaker has an available operating time of about 24 hours when the volume level of the speaker is set to 36, lighting function is set to off, and the sound effect is set to STAMINA. About 14 hours when the volume is set to 35, the lighting function is set to on (factory default settings), and the sound effect is set to EXTRA BASS (factory default settings). And you will get about 4 hours of use when the volume level of the speaker is set to maximum (50), lighting function is set to on (factory default settings), and sound effect is set to EXTRA BASS (factory default settings).
The actual performance time may vary due to the volume, songs played, the surrounding temperature, and usage conditions.

We appreciate your review of the SRSXB33 speakers. It's unfortunate that you are not having a complete experience because of its volume. Turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. Pair the speaker again with your source device. You can also use the sound settings and equalizer function of the Sony Music Center app to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs.
