We are sorry if the battery life of this speaker did not meet your expectations. When fully charged, the speaker has an available operating time of about 24 hours when the volume level of the speaker is set to 36, the lighting function is set to off, and the sound effect is set to STAMINA. About 14 hours when the volume is set to 35, the lighting function is set to on (factory default settings), and the sound effect is set to EXTRA BASS (factory default settings). And you will get about 4 hours of use when the volume level of the speaker is set to maximum (50), the lighting function is set to on (factory default settings), and the sound effect is set to EXTRA BASS (factory default settings).

The actual performance time may vary due to the volume, songs played, the surrounding temperature, and usage conditions.

We regret to hear that the speaker is not working properly. Make sure to try pairing the speaker with other Bluetooth devices. Restarting and initializing the speaker may help resolve the issue:

Restarting the speaker
-Press and hold the (power) button for about 8 seconds to restart the speaker.
Note:
Restarting the speaker does not delete its pairing information.
Restarting the speaker may change its volume, function, or sound settings.

Initializing the speaker
-While the speaker is turned on, press and hold the - (volume) and (BLUETOOTH) buttons until the speaker turns off (5 seconds or more). The speaker is initialized. Settings such as volume, etc., are restored to the factory default settings, and all pairing information is deleted.

We're sorry to hear the sound quality of this speaker did not meet your expectations. The XB33 was designed to be a very balanced speaker with a focus on both vocal clarity & the Extra Bass you know and love as a Sony customer.

If you haven't, to get the most out of your speaker, please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune your XB33 and maximize the volume to your liking. There is even an EQ.

Please make sure you fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 10%, and hit the auto volume limiter (designed to keep your speaker battery healthy & safe).

Then Increase the volume level of the wireless speaker and source devices. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

We are really sorry if the volume/loudness of our XB33 didn't live up to your expectations. This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have with our premium portable speaker. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience.

The XB33 is specifically designed for audio clarity throughout its volume range. This is something our music-loving customers appreciate most. That being said the SRSXB33 also gets very loud for its size and audio precision. We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. If you haven't yet, we recommend downloading the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools like an equalizer (there is a built-in EQ that has 20 points of control for Bass, Midrange, and Treble) to fine-tune your XB33 and maximize its volume to your liking. Additionally, please make sure that you fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 10%, and hit the auto volume limiter (designed to keep your speaker safe). Then Increase the volume level of the wireless speaker and connected device. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different audio compression and transmission types.
