Also the previous speaker played much louder than this one. I would rate it just as ok.

Worth it!!

Just didn't do it for me

Please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune your XB43 and maximize the volume to your liking. There is even an EQ.
For low sound quality, please try playing another source on the device. For example, try another music app to see if the issue is with a particular app. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

The bass is not good

Please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app.
Try out some of the preset sound settings and see what you like.
If all else fails, there is even an EQ for further fine-tuning.
Also, ensure you have charged the XB33 fully, and power the speaker off and then back on.
If the speaker gets to low it will limit the volume output to save the speaker from damage.
You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission. LDAC devices tend to sound the best.

To get the most out of the volume, please try the different sound modes found in the Sony Music Center app, until you find the one you like for indoor or outdoor settings. There is even an EQ in there. You may also try the STEREO PAIR in which 2 SRS-XB33 speakers are required. By connecting 2 speakers via BLUETOOTH connection, you can enjoy a more powerful sound. 1. DJ control - You can include sound effects (Isolator, etc.) or sampling sounds (drum/cheering sounds, etc.) in the music being played.
