Turn up the volume of the speaker and the connected device. You can also use the sound settings and equalizer function of the Sony Music Center app to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs. We are really sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused you.



In an effort to deliver the best possible experience it was necessary for us to change aspects of how XB33 uses our connect features and BT. For instance we went from BT 4.2 -Max range 32ft to BT 5.0 -Max range 98ft. This improves your experience on newer models. Unfortunately, it was impossible for us to make them backwards compatible with the older models.



In order to make this apparent, Sony changed the name from “Wireless Party Chain” to “Party Connect”.

We also noted the change on BestBuy’s website just in case.

It looks like this:

For the sound quality, downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools like an equalizer to fine-tune your XB33’s sound and maximize the volume to your liking.

IPX7 equivalency: The speaker has been tested to and maintains its operability when gently submersed in water to a depth of 1 m (3.2 ft) and left for 30 minutes. We do apologize for the inconvenience. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience. Charging time varies depending on built-in battery usage conditions. Also, the life span of the rechargeable built-in battery differs depending on the usage, environment, and storage method. To isolate the issue, you may try a different USB cable to charge the speaker.

NOTE: When the recommended USB AC adaptor capable of delivering an output current of 1.5 A is connected, charging completes in about 5 hours* and the CHARGE indicator turns off.

The sound quality will depend on the source that you're playing and with the battery remaining. We recommend playing 320 kbps music file or with higher audio codec for better sound quality.
