The SRS-XB33 combines a tough, durable design with long battery life, deep bass sound, and flashing lights. Giving you the freedom to party wherever, whenever. If you haven't yet, downloading the Music Center app allows you to select your favorite playlists, cue the next song, or change lighting patterns and sound modes of the unit- this will surely enhance your listening experience.

We are so sorry to hear about your experience with the XB33 and that it needs to be returned. The XB33 was designed to be a very balanced speaker with a focus on both vocal clarity & the Extra Bass you know and love as a Sony customer.

To get the most out of this speaker, we recommend downloading the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune your XB33 and maximize the volume to your liking. There is even an EQ.

Please make sure as well you fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 10%, and hit the auto volume limiter (designed to keep your speaker battery healthy & safe).

Then Increase the volume level of the wireless speaker and source devices. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

We regret to hear that you are not satisfied with the speaker. The SRSXB33 is only designed for music playback via Bluetooth. We do have speakers that support both USB playback and audio in connection. You may want to consider the SRS-XP700, SRS-XP500, or SRS-XG500.

The sound may also become low when the battery of the speaker is insufficient. It is always recommended to charge the built-in battery sufficiently. With the Sony Music Center app, you can use the sound settings and equalizer function to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs. Please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools like an equalizer to fine-tune your XB33 and maximize the volume to your liking. Please also ensure that you fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 10%, and hit the auto volume limiter (designed to keep your speaker safe). Then Increase the volume level of the wireless speaker and source devices.

You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different audio compression and transmission types.

Thank you for taking the time to review your SRS-XB33. We are sorry to hear about the issue with your unit. This is not the experience we want you to have. Allow us to help you and turn your experience around. Follow these steps to pair your Bluetooth speaker with a compatible source device.

• Place the source device within 1 meter (3 feet) of the Bluetooth speaker.
• Check that the BLUETOOTH device is turned on and the BLUETOOTH function is activated on the device.

1. Turn the speaker on.
If you turn on the speaker for the first time, the (BLUETOOTH) indicator starts double flashing and the speaker enters pairing mode.

2. Set the speaker to pairing mode.
To enter pairing mode, press the (BLUETOOTH) button until you hear the voice guidance (BLUETOOTH pairing) from the speaker and the (BLUETOOTH) indicator starts double flashing (pairing mode).
3. Pair your source device within 5 minutes.

The pairing mode of the speaker ends after 5 minutes. To continue pairing, repeat the operation from the beginning.
If the Bluetooth pairing is successful, you hear voice guidance (BLUETOOTH connected) from the speaker and the activity of the (BLUETOOTH) indicator changes from flashing to lit.

Note: If the speaker is not displayed on the BLUETOOTH device, turn off the device, and then turn on the device again. It may improve symptoms.
