Nice bass. Good to use by the pool. Its waterproof. The kids really like the lights. It's just a great little speaker

This is an amazing speaker all around. Sound is amazing, super easy to use and the "DJ" lights are a nice bonus.

I’ve had everything from a boom to a megaboom to a charge 4 to an xtreme 2 and personally this speaker has the best bass by far. The light feature is also really cool. My only critiques are that the music center app is not as easy to use as the megaboom app and the materials used are not as good as the charge 4. The live feature is also not really that great, but I’m not really into that sound, so I don’t care it. You have to hear it for yourself to really like it or hate it.

The Sony speaker has so many features all packaged up in a small piece. The lights are awesome for night time get togethers and kids love the DJ feature on the app. Only complaint would be that it is a bit heavy. Great sound!

Sony never disappoints! Have had this speaker for almost a year and use it every month! It gives a great amount of volume and battery life! Can go hours without recharging! I usually like to allow the battery to use our completely before recharging which is what I believe has prolonged its life. Brought it to beach once and it didn’t last the longest so I don’t think it does the best in high heat, but it does great in doors!

The sound of this small speaker is spectacular. It rivals much larger ones that I’ve got. I don’t particularly care about the lights so I don’t use them much. I bought this on sale pretty much on a whim. But it has become my go-to speaker. It has great battery life. I can go weeks between charges. That’s with almost every day use. I am most impressed with how good it sounds. It’s got plenty of bass to be so small.

This sony speaker is a great size, and portable and has great sound, just what I was looking for!

First impression was great, but after listening it didn't have the amazing sound quality I have been used to with Sony products. Don't get me wrong, it still sounds great, but it's more focussed on the features, and the cool design with lights. I love the aspect and Idea, but this is not for a person like me that needs great sounding pristine audio. I would highly recommend it to others because it is a great product with many cool features, a little pricey but you will see why, they also have the smaller versions which are way cheaper and I would recommend more, but that's up to you to decide. *Build/design = 5 stars *Battery life= 5 stars *Charging= 5 stars *Sound quality = 4 stars *Live mode= 1 star *features= 5 stars

Really good sound for the money, and I love the extra lights. The only mild complaint would be they cut in and out when you get a fair distance away (not quite as far as they are rated for)

sound good for a Bluetooth speaker. Loud enough to use outdoors. Bluetooth connected easily to my iPhone. App makes it easy to control lighting effects and offers some sound customization

Pros... 1. Loud... Well sorta... 2. bass... Well sorta... 3. Price... excellent price, caught on sale for Labor Day. Cons... 1. Loud... Well my SRS-XB2 was a beast!!!!!! I expected the XB41 to blow it out of the water, buuuuuuut I would prefer my XB2. I could hear my XB2 down stairs with no initial issues. The XB41? Can't really hear it downstairs, but it is loud outside my bedroom window when I get in my car. 2. Bass.... Again... I am comparing it to my XB2....XB2 was much better. 3. Price...Well...$69.99 is a fairer price, the more I think about it. So still an excellent price because I caught it on sell, but the more I think about....Yeah, it was still dramatically overpriced for it to be over a hundred bucks. 4. Weight...It is not the end of the world heavy, but it is not necessarily the most convenient morning alarm replacement either.... 5. Mesh... I don't care for the mesh covering. 6. Plug covering... Don't care for this item either as one slip and that thing look like it can easily break-off. 7. The plug....I think my plug is bent meaning the power cord that plugs into the back of the XB41. All that said....How did it still get a 3? The app is okay. I don't use the light features. I don't use any of the marketed features beyond the items mentioned above.... I did forget to mention that the bluetooth connectivity is actually very strong which was the reason that I bought a new speaker. Sooooo.... If I did not have this to compare to my previous model, this unit might be more than excellent, buuuuuuut because my previous model set the bar so high, it is likely that any new model regardless of brand would have failed against it. OH.... This would be useful information for you. Know the reason that you are researching this product. 1. Replacement of a Sony SRS-XB2. 2. Portable bluetooth speaker to connect to my projector to go do presentations and possibly some movie nights on the fly. 3. Portable bluetooth speaker for when I do my photoshoots to have some background music because I am also a photographer. Does this speaker meet my criteria? Yes. That is the reason the other features are not that important to me such as the light show. Good luck....
