I hadn't been too interesed in portable speakers, until I heard this one. I use the Sony app to adjust EQ, and it's an impressive little setup. I don't use the light show, and it's well worth the price for only the speaker function. It's almost as good as a sound bar with subwoofer setup :) GOOD job Sony!

I have the old model Sony - SRS-XB40 and decided to add another speaker. The XB41 is much improved. The sound quality is excellent. Better than the XB40. I now have the both speakers playing simultaneously next to each other on my desk and the sound is clear, crisp and has great definition. Love this speaker.

I would like to buy another one of similar kind but i didn't find any in store today. My girlfriend took the first one coz it had amazing bass

I've used this speaker twice now. The sound quality and volume are excellent! It worked great at both cookouts and campfires. However, the battery seems to switch to a power saving mode and reduces the volume to about 10% after 2 hours or so of play. Immensely frustrating! Returning it today.

I bought this speaker for a pool party. To be fair, the sound is pretty good for such a small speaker and was great for about 3 hours....then the fun began. The speaker decided to reduce the volume to a whisper and it couldn't be turned up. We had to stop using it for a few hours before we could use it again. Very embarrassing at a party! I thought it might have been the Nevada heat, but apparently this is a thing with these speakers, and Sony themselves admit (in the paperwork that came with it) that having the speakers at a high volume for a prolonged period of time (or 3 hours in my experience) results in this happening. It happened several times, resulting in us having to use our mini jawbone speaker which doesn't have this issue (but also isn't as loud). Is it me, or does this behavior appear to be the OPPOSITE of what you want from a 'party speaker'? It's a cute little speaker with a punchy sound, but don't expect to use if for longer than 2-3 hours. After that, it's louder to play music through your phone's speakers. I wish I was kidding. I returned it.....and I NEVER return stuff. Sigh....what a shame, Sony.

I've had a couple of Sony wireless speakers and never had an issue or complaint until now, I've owned this one for less than a year and a few days ago I have noticed that the battery is dying really quick. I'd highly recommend it but make sure you also get the extended warranty just in case.

It has an excellent sound for a small speaker, but the battery life is terrible. Don't ever take it to a party because it only lasts 2-3 hours on loud than it lowers the volume by itself to a whisper.

great sound but after one years of low use the thing wont charge anymore. i only can use it for 20 minutes after a night beeing plugged and still plugged during that time

Bought it 7 5, and used it at work on Saturday Monday and Tuesday. My shift is usually around 10 to 12hours 530am to 430 or when i get done. So I'm thinking the 24hr battery life should last a whole day. Saturday lasted only 7hrs before it was saying it needed to be charged. Monday and Tuesday when i stopped for lunch around noon it said was at 70% sounds great. Then by 200pm it was saying it was at 20% lost 50% in about 3hrs is not good. It was replacing an anker soundcore select which also has 24hr battery and lasted full day plus 6hrs into the next day. Brought it back Tuesday and exchanged it for the JBL Charge 4. So far it has lasted all day for my work shifts.

Loved this speaker for 3 months. Then one day would not turn on or charge. Reset not working either. Am I the only lucky one with this issue? Very disappointing. Best Buy would not return or exchange. Told me it's my fault for not buying extended warranty.

I bought this speaker with high expectations. I was deeply disappointed. I returned the speaker for the new JBL Extreme 2. I am extremely happy that I exchanged this speaker for the JBL! It was worth the extra $50!

Volume drops so low at 50% charge after 1 hour of use, worst purchase ever!!! Wish I could return it
