This speaker is amazing. The sound that comes out of it is top quality. It gets super loud without even having the volume to the max. Base quality also great. Nice portable size. This speaker creates a fun music experience, looking at the lights, tapping on the speaker to get different sounds. The color is dark red, I would have liked it to be a little more brighter red. The fabric all over feels great definitely easy to wipe clean. Only thing I didn't like is the charger isn't USB, otherwise I love this speaker. But with the long lasting battery you charge it and your good for awhile. Also thing I didn't like was someone can connect to your speaker and change your song, don't like that.

I chose this over the JBLs, and felt like it’s held its end. The colours really add a zing to the experience, especially when you’re having a casual “kickback”!

If you purchase this product, make sure you buy in pairs. Lights and sound sync, the more the better

Speaker works fine but the 24 hours of playing time is not true, you have to keep it plugged up and my light doesn't work and I dont know why, it suppose to.

I purchased this when my other speaker finally died. This is very portable and I would take to the pool all the time. I wish it got louder but overall decent speaker. Don't spend more then $100 on it

Wanted to be able to listen to music when out at the pool but didn’t want a big bulky radio. This works perfect we use our phones with Pandora or an iPod. Very happy.

It's a great bluetooth speaker its loud and clear the only thing I don't like about it is that battery life says up to 24 hrs but I only get 6 to 8 hours out of it. Since it has a wall charger hard to find somewhere to charge when out on adventures. Nerd a 115 outlet

The Sony XB41 is a Bluetooth and NFC enabled speaker with extended base and enhanced spacial sound. Sony has added a new DSP (Digital Signal Processor), angled speaker and Live sound mode for better 3 dimensional sound output. These speakers sound great ! The sony XB41 carries IP67 water resistance rating. Allowing the speaker to be used in environments they where they may be exposed to water, think pool, beach or on a boat. According to Sony the SRS-XB411 is rustproof even when exposed to salt water. The speaker is also dust proof making it great for camping or even the desert! The fabric covering looks great and is washable. There are 3 different colors available, white,red and black. The shape, size and weight makes them easy to carry to any party or gathering. The sound and Base in these speakers is really out of control! While they are essentially the same speaker as their smaller brothers the SRS- SB21 and SRS SB31 the speaker (and driver) size are different (Sony SRS-XB21 employing a 42mm driver, the SRS-XB31 a 48mm driver and the SRS-XB41 a 58mm driver). The SRS XB41 are capable of connecting with ‘Wireless Party Chain’ allowing up to 100 wireless speakers with Bluetooth, the music and lights sync-up so everyone dances to the same beat. This is compatible with Sony's other XB speakers with Bluetooth. This is a cool feature, I could get it to work seems like the feature in the android app has not been updated for these speakers and I got the speakers to manually pair by pressing the WPC button on the SBS41 then the WPC button on the SBS31. An additional SRS-SB41 party chain registered and all the the then everything works as expected. Sony will probably update the app and instructions for manually pairing the speakers soon. The feature is fun really expands the sound and could really wind up your party! You can control the speaker from the the Sony Music Center app for android or iPhone. I had no problem installing it on my android smartphone or my wife's iPhone. You can select your favorite playlists, cue the next song and change lighting patterns and sound modes easily. You can stream from Pandora, google play or iTunes and many others. You can stream without the app also. The XB4 1 speaker also comes with party lighting effects. They have line lights that glow in many colors and other lights that flash like a strobe. These can be set to frantic or calming patterns or turned off depending on the mood you are in. They built-in accelerometer which is used by their ‘Party Booster’ feature. It can detect tapping from different directions and generates a sound and lighting action. Tapping the speaker in different places makes different sounds like a scratch, snare, kick drum and cowbell. You can control the volume of the sound effect, gently for a soft or wack it for a loud. I had a lot of fun banging on the speaker while dancing! The speaker has Stereo Mini Jack (IN), USB A Terminal (DC OUT only) maybe to use to connect to your phone as a battery?, micro USB (DC IN) for charging and wall power. I have a lot of Bluetooth speakers, this is one of my favorites great sound without any worries about getting it wet or dirty!

After testing several of the display models. this one one Rocked. bluetooth and nfc connection was a breeze. will buy a second once it goes on sale again.

I have two. Compare them in stereo mode or use them in different rooms and replicate the sound. They are waterproof. The sound is amazing. They're big enough to offer power but not so big; the perfect size. The lights that move to the beat are fun. Amazing product.

In the box you get the speaker itself of course, and the AC adapter. The speaker itself is very well made and weighs about 3lbs. I got the black one and it looks nice and will fit into any entertainment center or where ever for that matter. It has a 3.5mm audio in port, and a USB port that you can charge your phone or other device from. I really like this feature. It has Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC connectivity. It also has an IP67 rating for water protection. So you can take the speaker to the beach, pool, etc. without worrying about water and dust. Connectivity is easy via Bluetooth or NFC. Just find the XB41 in your devices Bluetooth settings and one tap and your'e connected. The lights are a neat feature, but if you want them off you will need to install the app to control this. Soundwise the little thing thumps. Im not much for big bass, but it sounds great here. And the overall sound is very crisp. And if you want to broaden the sound it has live mode which will widen the sound to reach further which works well. Another cool feature is the music center app. This allows you to control the songs, sound, lights, etc. all from your phone. You can also add DJ effects via the Fiesta app. The battery rating says 24 hours in standard mode with lights off, so you dont need to worry about running out of battery. It easily lasts a full day. The XB41 is a great Bluetooth speaker, with nice sound, features, portability, and battery life. And even charge your phone or other device from it if needed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality portable sound you can take anywhere.

I bought 2 speakers and the stereo break down between the two is awsome. If i had known they were this fantastic, i would hzve purchased a long time ago.

Sounds great and volume allows sound to be carried about 100' which is pretty good. unfortunately battery life sucks and goes into a power saving mode after about 2 hours. Will be returning this today.

I use it for yard working &&riding around town on a electric four wheeled scooter stays put and seems like a very durable strong and built well

Sony Bluetooth Speaker SRS-XB41 is one of the coolest looking speakers out there and it's going to be the perfect summer music item for those visits to the beach. This one I enjoyed more then SRS XB31 due to the stronger overall bass and range. is pretty much a bigger better XB31 and it connects speakers other sony SRS speakers. want to say that this speaker lasts for an extremely long time. This combined with the portability of the XB31 you are going to have a great time. The design is nice and feels matte to the touch, You can indeed hold this with one hand and walk around with it. More so the design is also rugged so if you do happen to drop it will survive a few drops. much in line with the SRS XB31. Buttons at the top of the speaker which is easy to find and use so you don't have to use your phone or tablet to control music. very soft to the touch. The XB41 is also Rust, Dust, and Waterproof completely (IP67 Rated.) even claims it can take a little sea water without getting rust.Comes with NFC and Bluetooth. There is a charging port on the back of the speaker which can charge up your phone. One of my favorite features about the speaker is the "party lights" that gives an awesome glow everytime it's in use with multiple colors. These can also sync up to each other with something called "Party Chain." I have used this mode personally with the Sony XB-90 and the lights and sounds all link up together. giving you a really wild sound system. Now I have 3 Speakers which all connect to my living room environment. The sound from the speaker is incredible to say the lease. It gets loud and punchy with bass. Bass mode does kick from this speaker to levels I never seen from a speaker of this size. Bass is stronger than the 31 but its worth the extra price. There is also "Live Sound" mode which is a little disappointing because the differences that sound suppose to cover the room over a wider area with three dimensional sound seems minuscule at best. To me, it doesn't make that big of a difference especially if you have more then one Sony XB speaker connected. The Sony app again is its own worst enemy. There is a lot of features in the app which allows you to use DJ controls and such but the App (at least on Apple's App Store) is still awful and I don't think there are signs of Sony trying to improve it. The App has bugs, slow, and is very outdated. Until they improve the app I say skip it and only use it for colors on the speaker itself. I love the Sony XB line of speakers but this one improves way more than the rest because being totally Dust, Rust. and Waterproof. it lasts all day with battery and it loud with it being perfect for parties. My downside is that its Sony App is just botched but the product itself is great. I love party chain link and the colors are beautiful. Would get this for anyone who looking for speakers with fun attached to them.

The bluetooth speaker market is extremely competitive these days, with there being a wide array of options available at virtually any price point. In the upper echelon of portable bluetooth speakers enters the XB41. To be competitive in this market which includes companies like Bose and Beats, you need to marry great sound quality with a wealth of features, which is exactly what Sony has done with this speaker. For me, sound quality is the most important feature of any speaker. Many portable style speakers leave much to be desired, but the XB41 is not one of those. I own other speakers from this same price range from Bose and UE, and other than the fact that those speakers are multi directional (more on that later), the Sony is as good as those. In particular, the Sony has an impressive amount of bass, which is always what's lacking with these types of speakers. It also goes loud without distorting, which is also somewhat rare. Build quality is next on my priority list, and again, the XB41 delivers. It is built like a tank, and as a HUGE bonus, includes IP67 rated water and dust proofing. This means it can at the very least be immersed in water, allowing you to not worry about bringing it around the beach, lake, or stream. This will surely be my speaker around water sources. The XB41 is packed with features which enhance the experience (via the Sony app). To start, battery life here is great. Sony rates the speaker as lasting 24 hours with the lighting features disabled, and so far, that seems to be accurate. Speaking of lighting, using the free Sony app, you can enable or disable the built in lighting for the speaker. While it's cool looking, and a unique feature to include, I'll never use it personally. It's clear Sony is trying to position this speaker as a party tool, because to go along with the lighting, they've included some additional features like "Party Booster" (you tap different areas of the speaker to create some various synth sounds) and the Fiestable app (which lets you make DJ style sounds by moving your phone in different directions). Frankly, as with the lighting, I won't use these particular features. I do, however, plan to use the party chain type feature which allows you to add additional speakers to the mix. The major downfall of this speaker is that it's directional, whereas most competitors have designed their speakers to be multi directional (360 degree sound). Sony has tried to remedy this with the "live sound" feature, but in my experience, the sound quality is significantly better with this disabled. Since the speaker is quite loud, this in general isn't that much of an issue, but it's definitely worth pointing out. Overall, this is a very good speaker. It delivers in areas that are important (sound quality, build quality, and battery life) while also giving you some customization that, while I won't use most of them, may appeal to others.

I only bought the speaker because I could not get the correct customer service out of the stereo installation division and once I bought another stereo I return this as well. I won't put the speaker down at work pretty well under the circumstances.
