Great speaker and nice design. Purchased as a graduation gift for our group of kid friends and they love them.

I got this to replace my use megaboom which had a bad driver. A Nice upgrade. Decent price. Battery life is still being tested but seems good.

it’s very hard to write a review and not include the software or information based on the website. Standalone speaker: wow this does sound great, the sound was clear, and the bass was good. I took this to a pool party and everyone loved it (we did not throw it in the pool even though Sony said I could). The light effects were fun for everyone and it was plenty loud. The Bluetooth only setup is going to be fine for most people. You just power on the speaker and select srs-xb41 from the available devices. There are a ton of potential connection options (you can even power your cell phone from this). We did not go for 24 hours, but for 8 hours of loud play at a pool party with the lights on. I think is pretty good. party chain: here is where I had problems. if you go from Bluetooth only to the app, you need to "forget this device" to add it to the app I also have a srs-xb31. With the software you download the 41 and 31 were not meant to be compatible in the party chain (this is not mentioned on the website). You can get it to work after several tries (and several times killing and restarting the app). I did chat with Sony support and my agent did not say that Sony was going to update the app for better control of the different versions that just came out. I emailed Sony support, and no answer after 3 days. I attempted to use iHeart radio (app crash), and Pandora (app crash); I finally settled on my iPhone music. 2 times in the 8-hour party the speakers (the app?) would disconnect from my phone and the music only came from the phone. reconnecting can be a hassle. There is no physical power button (it is labeled and power but would only start a Bluetooth sync). If you have the speakers in party chain, you must remove them from the chain then power down from the app. Several of these issues may be the incompatibility of the 2 speakers (the 31 and 41 series), but still this sounds like a major flaw. to note: there is no smart device capability (Alexa or android cannot control the music like many other speakers) the red of the device is the same color as the physical buttons to control the device. This is always hard; do I judge the speaker, the speaker and the app, or how this is advertised. Yes, this speaker in Bluetooth mode sounds great, the lights play with the music and makes for a fun time. But you must use the flaky app to control some pretty important functions and the lack of compatibility with other speakers in the same series I think is a serious flaw. I hope Sony reads this and adjusts the software, to at least let you control several speakers that are not the same model. I will just take a sharpie to mark what the buttons do and control my own music without Alexa help.

Bought this on sale for $130 as a replacement for a Bose SoundLink that I bought several years ago, and couldn't be happier with what I got. Gets 4 stars because "extra bass" is laughable, it barely has bass that I consider passable.

Bought 2 of these one for myself one for my son, cant believe the sound that come out of them there amazing so happy I found them on sale

The kids use the Snowball speaker for gaming and it provides clear sound for all of their gaming needs. It could be a little sturdier though, the wire frame (ball shape) comes apart easily.

I couldn't use a flash drive so it wasn't beneficial to me . I wanted to play music from a flash drive it didn't have the por9.

This product is extremely durable with an ipx7 rating. I have used the party chain function and it works well. Highly recommended.

I play bass and so I always want to hear the full sound so I can hear it .This is very easy to use and shut up the blue tooth has a great range .

The sound is very good for the price. I sue this product at the beach and it works perfect. I have a Bose product at home which has better sound quality but not at this price.

The app & the speaker has difficulty pairing sometimes. When you receive a calls People have difficulty hearing me . In my opinion this speaker is better then jbl extreme 2

I found the speaker to sound really good. However, for the price you could get something better. It is not a bad speaker, it is just that there are better things out there for the money.

Good, solid product. Connection is pretty easy. Read the directions well. Bluetooth can be tricky at first. Once hooked up, its great.

This product is very nice I like it alot just didn't have a lot of bass as my JBL speaker so I returned it and I bought the JBL speaker
