|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony's got the bluetooth speaker figured out! This guy is gorgeous and sounds very rich and fantastic! The speaker is covered with a beautiful red fabric. It has a silicone cover on the back to cover ports/options. One is the button to turn off and on the light, a WPC (wireless party chain) button where you can connect other speakers, and an add button where you can make one the right speaker and another, the left speaker. You can also connect via NFC to this bad boy. There's also a LIVE button that really makes the sound so much richer! You also have a port to charge devices! I love the light that changes with the beat and that you can shut it off if you don't want it. I also love the feature that you can link this one with others in order to have multiple speakers playing the same things. This would be great for an event in multiple rooms, or indoor/outdoor. There was a sheet that explained some extra functions, like tapping the speaker to create sounds like a dj, but I've not found the spot to tap yet. The battery is supposed to last 24 hours!!! That's an amazing amount of time. I haven't had to charge it yet since I initially charged it, and I've used it for at least 10 hours. Sounds amazing. Bass is strong and the treble isn't tinny. The sound quality is really very good! Great product! I have a SRS-SB31 and they link together so easily and sound really fantastic together! This is a great speaker!

Fantastic bass, great channel separation wonderful sound from a small platform. Lights are great for parties but distracting if just listening to music(can turn them off if annoying). Easy to pair, great battery life. One gripe, no method to mount it to a post or hang from something. Guess I'll have to rig something up. A+ for Sony.

A bit disappointed in the software, I think the hard ware capable of some lighting effects the software does not seem to support. Sound wise, it is ok. The bass is overdriven when you turn it up, and the live mode gives a decent attempt for ambient surround emulation, I suppose though it is unfair for me judge this unit as I am used to listening to Bowers and Wilkins-they set a really high bar.
