The SRS-X41 can produce plenty of sound with a very durable battery. Pairing with your devices is very easy as well. Was able to purchase when on sale for $149.

I love the light feature and overall design.Nice bass and pretty well rounded sound for the size of the speaker. I travel with it a lot since it is still small enough to fit in my travel bag .

my mum loves the Red one lasted her a long while on battery, sound is clear and loud every loud the battery hasn't been charged since December up to May she hasn't had plug it to any adapters or connectors she got two the black one and the red one she kept the red one

We use this speaker on the beach, in the golf cart and on the patio. Great bass sound and long battery life. Only complaint I have is the battery indicator gives false information. I used it for approximately 15 hrs and the indicator said it was at 70%, but an hour later it died.

For a relatively small speaker, this has beautiful bass. This one is bigger than its cousin the XB31, so sound is a bit more robust. This unit is another solid product from Sony in terms of construction with quality materials and well thought out design. It can be charged either over USB cable or the supplied AC Adapter. It paired easily with my desktop, laptop, cell phone and also with a Sling AirTV box. Everything is simple to do. The speaker is great for enhancing your PC speaker situation – beautiful sound, lots of bass. A nice feature is the lights, you get lines of light and strobes; and it is not overdone. I liked the lights while I watched TV – it seemed to cheer me up – great. It also has a nice audio-in jack for devices you can’t pair it with. It has a 24 hour charge and I verified this by letting it die, then recharging. There is a feature that younger folks and/or party folks would enjoy where you can chain up to 100 of these together using Bluetooth. Nice feature if you consider the tremendous sound and flashing lights that would be produced for a party atmosphere. It is waterproof and can be submerged without hurting its electronics or materials – though I didn’t try this. Interesting app called Sony Music Center can be installed which I did. I did not opt for buying songs but I did utilize the app to easily pair the speaker with my Android phone. It does have a microphone so you can make calls using it. If you like technical specs you might have noticed it has IP67 rating – and this is something very good. I didn’t know what an IP67 rating was exactly so I looked it up. This is called the Ingress Protection rating system which shows the degrees of protection from solid objects (like dust) and liquids. The first number refers to the protection against solid objects, if the first number is 0, there is no protection provided. A number 5 refers to limited protection against dust. The number 6 is for total protection against dust. The second number of the IP rating system refers to protection against liquids. A ‘0’ indicates no protection, while a 7 refers to protection against immersion between 15 centimeters and 1 meter. So this unit is outstanding, there you have that. Another spec of interest is LDAC4. This means it will transmit three times more data than conventional Bluetooth audio so you are not going to get blips and skips while listening – also very nice. Music played by YouTube was much clearer and more Bass. Lastly there is a really well done Help Guide you can refer to online. The basic set up instructions came with it. But you will want to go out to http://rd1.sony.net/help/speaker/srs-xb31/v1/h_zz/ and check out the all the functions and instructions. One example is you can use this speaker with the Sony Music Center app for connection to SIRI and Android voice assist units – pretty neat. Overall I would highly recommend this unit for its sound quality, lights and its functionality.

My husband bought this speaker, and he loves it. Sound is great and light show flashes to the music. Great buy, glad he chose this speaker.

This thing is loud... I bought it for my girlfriend to use in the kitchen while cooking, but it literally pumps sound through the entire house. Good compact unit.
