Good quality sound and portable light to carry anywhere

I'm super happy with this speaker. For the most part, it sits in the corner of my desk, behind my monitors, and sounds great at my desk or on my spinning bike on the other side of the room. I've only used it outdoors once, but the sound was great there, too.

Great speaker, super loud and provides lots of bass.

I can hear all the different musical instruments in songs that have several instruments playing at once. It's close to picking up all the 7.1 stereo channels sounds as my Onkyo 7.1 Digital surround sound Receiver with 7 separate speakers. I use my speaker inside and outside and can hear my music for 50 feet.

I really am happy about this purchase. It has just enough sound and just enough to not be too heavy or big to port.

Bought this after being able to compare sound from different devices at the store. This is why we need to be able to go to the store and touch and listen in person. Not everything should be bought based on someone else's opinion. Bit bulky but the sound is absolutely great!

COOL: . Excellent base and overall sound quality . Great strobe light effects . Really waterproof and dustproof . Long battery life . Party Booster feature is fun and so is the tapping . Can connect multiple speakers – up to 100 NOT SO COOL: . App keeps forgetting it is already connected I tried its smaller sibling, the SRS-XB31 and I was a lot more impressed than I expected. This bigger version has the same Impressive features plus a few more and equally impressive sound quality! Just louder. The SRS-XB41 produces excellent sound quality for a Bluetooth speaker. The base is so good that this and the XB31 were the first speakers to make me excited about this type of portable device. I liked others but I fell in love with these, especially the XB41. They can be connected to each other and as many as you have available. It was a really wonderful experience. On a side note, it does lose some of the base if volume is all the way up. I finally had the guts to test it in the rain and it did extremely well. It kept working and all I had to do was to wipe it with a dry cloth. The tapping feature is cool and although I did not like it much in the beginning, my kids had so much fun that I now enjoy that feature as well. Through the app you can play with the different light and sound effects. My complaint is that the app keeps forgetting that the device is already connected to Bluetooth. There is a very useful built-in USB output to charge your portable devices. Although it might decrease the battery run time, it will probably make little difference since it lasts up to 24 hours according to specs. Disclaimer: I never ran this speaker longer than 6 hours. I am impressed with this Sony SRS-XB41 and could not find anything bad to say about it. It is fun even when you are enjoying music by yourself. It definitely is not boring. Because of the issues I had with the app, I’m not giving it 5 stars. The good news is that it’s just the app and Sony will proably address this issue soon.

Compact but powerful. I live in a 1600+ sf apartment and it jams all throughout the house. The speaker lights are a cool feature, and I like that you can change the color. To get the most (all the really fun stuff) out of the speaker, download the apps. I had a jambox before and this speaker is far more superior...

Great sound quality and Bass if you're into that sort of thing. Different modes allow for fine tuning.

Sound quality is excellent as well as the different modes. I keep the lights off to extend battery life.

I use this speaker in the rehabilitation hospital I work at it works great. I needed A impact resistance and water resistant Speaker. I can’t really use the lights because they could potentially spark a seizures in neurological impaired patients but over all works great

I claimed a UE Megaboom because the charging port had broke. This product was recommended by an employee based on the price I was able to pay for a new speaker. I was gonna have to get a smaller UE for the same price this one was for. Honestly I like the sound of the Megaboom better & that it was a 360° sound. This one you have to be in front of to get the best sound from it. Still not too bad of a sound but I should've paid a little more for the UE.
