This is a great sounding speaker for the money. This was a gift for my 12 year old son and he loves it. He plays music while doing his homework or just relaxing in his room. It is a rather big speaker so it is not ideal for transporting but it can be moved. The light effects are also nice and add a little more pizzaz to the speaker.

got this speaker on a sale and it is well worth the price, sounds amazing in a large space. even on sale it seemed a bit pricey but I have no complaints on the sound or connectivity.

This speaker delivers deep bass and clear vocals. It’s exactly what I was looking for. The charging options great too. I like that it is suitable for adverse outdoor use, although I haven’t put it to the test.

Super loud we live it in my house!!! We used it on thanksgiving and my brother in law asked where I got it and he wants one to take it to san antonio to float the river. Both me and my gbf have our own.

An amazing speaker. I love how I can pair multiple up together. I'm not a big fan of the app (pops up everytime I plug in audio device) but the speaker has some nice light modes and is quite loud at low volumes.

OK let me tell you about this Sony speaker I literally cannot live without it I use it every single day and I love it you will not regret this purchase

I use it outside in my shop where it gets exposed to heat and sawdust. So far so good. Awesome sound. I turned off the disco lights; found them distracting. I noticed the volume decreases automatically as the battery runs low. Not sure how I feel about that yet. But, the sounds is great, def would recommend.

This is the answer for listening to my music while relaxing on the back yard patio and pool with out having to deal with cords . and the quality of the speakers are great

I really like this speaker! I’ve had the Sony XB41 for about a week now and am impressed with just about everything about it. This Sony bluetooth wireless speaker has a really big sound for it’s fairly small size and can be pretty entertaining too with the Party Boost feature! I love the blue color that I got, the sleek design with a sporty look. I love that they included the NFC feature, I just tap the speaker on the NFC logo with my phone and it’s connected….another tap and it disconnects. This speaker will definitely not disappoint anyone who’s looking for a loud sound with a lot of bass from a small portable speaker. The Sony XB41 gives you a nice clear sound with high mids. The speaker works awesome as a stand alone unit but it’s advertised as a party speaker, meant to be taken out and about with you to parties and get togethers with friends. You can pair up to one hundred speakers, if you ever have the chance to do so, but even just a couple to few units paired together is really cool. This is actually the second speaker I’ve gotten, my other one is the Sony XB31. Using the app I’m able to group both speakers by creating a wireless party chain. The grouping was very easy, when paired together both speakers will light up and blink with the same color sequence. Once paired they play in perfect harmony together and sound fantastic. Having two speakers in one room, at opposite ends, fills the room perfectly.. Although having additional units wouldn’t be a bad thing. ;) The Party Boost feature is a really cool addition that adds a little extra fun to the listening experience. Party Boost can be turned off/on using the app or you can hold the volume up and volume down buttons on the speaker for three seconds until you see the power light blink. Party Boost allows you to choose from a few different preset sounds that will play from five sides of the speaker as you hit them. Each side you hit will play a different sound and activate a different LED lighting effect. The sides are pressure sensitive so a softer tap will play a softer sound a harder hit will play a louder sound. The feature is really fun to have if you’re with friends or if you’re just bored listening to music and have idle hands. I probably won’t use it a whole lot but just having it available is really cool and gives me something to show off to friends. To access the settings and most of the features, including the different light modes, you will need to install the Sony Music Center app. The app offers different sound modes including a preset “Clear Audio+” recommended setting, which is the default setting and uses the Extra Bass mode. There is also a Live Sound and Standard mode. The Live Sound mode fills the room with sound for a more 3D experience and is my favorite setting so-far. You also have the ability to customize the Bass/Mid/Tre. The Extra Bass feature can be turned on/off using the app or by pressing the button the rear of the speaker. There is also a “DJ Effect” feature that distorts the sound in different ways using sliders on your phone. It’s fun to play with for a minute but I probably won’t ever really use it. Same goes for another add-on called “Fiestable”, it’s fun to play with and show friends but I probably won’t really ever use it. The back panel can be accessed by flipping a soft waterproof lid. There is a micro USB input for easy charging, a DC input for traditional wall charging and also a DC out USB that allows the speaker to double as a power bank for charging your phone. There is an audio in port and three buttons for turning off/on the lights, battery level readings, adding a speaker and activating the wireless party chain for multiple Sony speakers. The battery life for this speaker has been better than expected. Based on my experience I would expect to get about 8 hours with the lights, Extra Bass and Party Boost on. I am very pleased with this speaker and will recommend it to friends. The IP67 rating, the washable fabric design, the extra bass, awesome LIVE sound, NFC connectability, ability to chain with other speakers, the lights and the Party Boost feature all make this speaker a great buy!

I had my eye on this specific model for nearly a year, hoping it would come available at a lower price. It is just as I expected, with a nice, deep bass sound.

This speaker is great. It has great sound quality and on other levels of my house I can hear it clearly. The sound is still good. Works great when pairing with other Sony speakers throughout the house

I’ve always loved having speakers but these really take music to another level, the clarity and bass are amazing!! The only feature I dislike is the live option but there’s no need for it
