You can connect more than one of the SRS-XB41 speakers together throughout your home. Connection is very easy. Sound is amazing and quality is good.

I use it as my TV speaker so I don't know about battery life since I have it connected to a power source. But the sound is great and fills the room.

I'm going to review both the Sony SRS-XB21 and SRS-XB41 since I picked them up together and it will make sense when you read the review. At first glance the new Sony SRS-XB series speakers are just another set of Bluetooth enabled speakers but there is more to them when you dig a little deeper. Not only are they Bluetooth capable but you can also can connect via NFC or by AUX input. Best used with it's companion apps: For the both units download the Sony Music Center app which allows you to select playlists, change sound modes or even change lighting effects. Controls are conveniently located on the top of the units with all ports and a couple of extra buttons located behind a rubber panel on the rear. They are both waterproof, washable and dustproof so they can even be immersed in water (as long as you have the cover over the back access panel). Being waterproof makes it a great choice for outdoor use such as camping, hiking, the beach or at the park. The sound is impressive. I especially like extra bass on my speakers and these don't disappoint. Both sport Live Sound wich has angled speakers which provide 3D like sound. One of the really cool features is you can string up to 100 SRS-XB series speakers together wirelessly to create a "Wireless Party Chain". There are a couple of other features that would are more aimed at the younger generation so this old guy can take them or leave them. The lighting feature is interesting and can create a party atmosphere especially if multiple units are linked in the Wireless Party Chain. Both units also support a "Party Booster" mode which, once enabled, will allow you to make different sounds such as a scratch, snare, kick drum or a cowbell... because we all know you need more cowbell. The XB41 goes one step further with the help of the Fiestable app for your smartphone. Using the app you can control the lighting and add DJ effects. Behind the rear access panel are the AUX input, DC charging port via micro-USB and in the case of the SRS-XB41 there is a separate DC charging jack. There are a couple of buttons to be able to connect multiple speakers, turn on the lighting effects and Battery life is impressive at up to 24 hours with lighting off so you can enjoy a full day of use between charges. In closing both speakers have a lot to offer outside of the party gimmicks. Sound is amazing so that alone makes it worth the look and add the ability to link more speakers for a party or even just a backyard barbeque makes it stand above other bluetooth speakers. Pick up either or both and there is even an intermediate model the SRS-XB31 which I haven't tried but all three can work together in any combination. A huge plus!

Bought this to accompany the Xb-40 I already own. Sound is amazing. I think at this price point, is one of the best sounding bluetooth speakers on the market.

I have owned a numerous amount of Bluetooth speakers and I can say for a fact that the Sony SRS-XB41 is my favorite. It has a lot of thing going right for it and just a ton of fun features that make owning this speaker an absolute blast. Let's start with build quality. It's a very rugged speaker with an IP67 rating so you can take it pretty much anywhere you'd venture out to. It's boasts a 24 hour battery life so you can continue to party for as long as you want! Supports NFC so connecting to my Google Pixel was a breeze(Note: this Bluetooth speaker also supports an audio in jack). The speaker itself I heavy but still portable enough to carry around with you in a backpack or just in your hands. The sound quality is absolutely amazing and fits my taste in music. The extra bass punch is a warm welcome and I cannot get enough of music listening with this speaker. Sony also included a Live Sound feature which projects three-dimensional sound to give you a festival type atmosphere by delivering sound to a wider area. For me, this feature is very pick and choose because it sounds great with some songs and then it sounds just okay with other songs and I'd prefer to listen on the clear audio feature with extra bass. When the song calls for Live Sound it really does immerse you more in the music. You feel like you're listening to a literal live version. The good part about live sound is that it's a button on top of the speaker which you can toggle on and off and you don't have to go into the app itself to do that. In my opinion the best part of this speaker is the lighting. It looks so amazing and you can customize the patterns through the Fiestable app. You can also use the app to be your own dj and use a virtual turn table to enable certain sounds to come out of the speaker when you please to. It's a neat feature to tinker with every once in a while but not very useful. The lights are definitely all this speaker needs to be cool. There is also a party booster feature which allows you to tap the speaker in certain places for percussion sounds to come out while playing music but this again is a neat gimmick that you probably won't use often as I certainly don't. One of the other best features is wireless party chain function that allows you to group other speakers in the same family with each other to create and monstrous sound for a more party like atmosphere. Overall, I really love listening to music with this speaker and I love watching the lights dance around. I love using my phone motion controls to control the lights and the speaker sounds absolutely amazing to me. Definitely a great speaker that is going to be tough to replace for me as number 1.

Bought a new computer and doesn't have traditional sound card but has bluetooth so got this and offers solid sound with little space needed.

This speaker has a great sound. It also has some fun features that my son has enjoyed experimenting with. I plan to get one for myself.

Great gift for my daughter. She loved it. No complaints. Works great and good sound quality.

I use this for general listening at home, but also for playing sound for meetings in large classrooms and outdoor pavilions, and it works great!
