Great speaker I take it on all my hiking trips and love the sound quality.

I loved the speaker and the sound it produced. The reason I returned is because of trouble connecting with my Note 8. I had to reconnect and forget it and connect again every time I wanted to use it. Just too much of a hassle for something that should be seamless.

Sounded loud & clear in the store but not so much when I got it home. I hate that you can only control volume with your phone. Looks cool when it lights up but wasn't worth the price I paid overall

My older son has this speaker so when my younger son wanted one I bought it again. Now they can pair them and the sound is amazing!

Really good speaker that connects to my phone easily. I love the live mode and the app has cool features as well.

Overall we like this product, but with the default settings the bass is overpowering and the mids and highs are muffled. Turning off the bass boost, then using the equalizer in the app to boost the mids and highs helps, but the highs still could be clearer. High frequencies should be easy in a small package such as this, but they seem to have put all of their effort into the bass, which is surprisingly good for the size. If there was an "on the fence" option for recommending to a friend I'd select it. This doesn't get a strong recommendation from me, but it's not a total wash either. For the price paid, I'd expect better sound quality. It feels like they were just trying to overwhelm you with volume.

OMG We absolutely love this. I bought one for my husband, a smaller one a while back and he loves it, so we decided to buy two more one for each of our kids. This is the bigger one. My daughters say the sound is amazing and the lights that light up wow. This puts out so much amazing sound. My husband ended up giving his to his brother in law and bought himself another. We give this a FIVE STAR. Back again just bought another one.

I have the XB20, the XB31, and the XB41 they are all great my favorite is the XB31 It just sounds better to me on lower volumes. The XB20 is easy to keep clean not to sure about these newer ones

Along with the great sound this speaker offers it also has many lighting and DJ affects to use to make it a fun and versatile party speaker.

This speaker looks good, sounds great, and is solidly built. I like the lights on to party and off for just great sound at bedtime. Get 2 for stereo!

The sound quality on this speaker is awesome for the size. Love it and would definitely recommend it hands down or up m, either way it’s great.

The Sony SRS-XB41 is a high-quality portable speaker that is extremely versatile. It is suitable for just about everywhere: bookshelf, house party, open room, outdoors, pool/beach. Mine was black and covered with a fabric that was easy to dust off and clean. It has a similar profile to other portable speakers and is unobtrusive in most locations. I used it mainly to stream music from my Android phone, and the music sounded very nice. There was a nice combination of high-range, mid-range, and bass. The unit has a Live Sound button that produced the most balanced sound for my taste. It felt I could hear music clearly no matter where I was in relation to the speaker, which is nice in outdoor settings. If more bass is desired, there is an Extra Bass feature that is similar to other Sony products. I found that the Extra Bass was handy at higher volumes. To me, the most important feature of this speaker is that it is waterproof (IP67 rating) and dustproof. It hasn’t gotten particularly dusty, but I did test the waterproofing by giving the unit a quick dunk in a sink and it continued to function flawlessly. The unit does have lighting that can be turned off, or even changed. I didn’t care for the light as it will drain the battery but it looks cool in a dark setting. I was able to get 20 hours out of the unit once it was fully charged and without using the lighting feature. It comes with an AC adapter for charging, and will also charge via USB but does not include that cord. The unit does have tap functionality which allows the user to touch the speaker to make DJ-style sounds (scratch, snare, drum, cowbell), and control the volume and lightning. I am not a DJ but my kids did enjoy the DJ noises. You can also use voice commands via Siri/Google to control the speaker. I would recommend downloading the Sony Music Center app to get the most functionality of the speaker; it was easy to use. One last feature is that you can connect up to 100 of these units via the Sony app to create a massive amount of sound. With all of the light controls, DJ tools, and great quality music, it could be amazing to hook up several of these speakers for small party venues. This isn’t something you can do with many portable speakers. In summary, this speaker produces great sound and seems very durable. It lasts a long time between charges, is waterproof/dustproof, and is appropriate for any location for any use. If I were a DJ or had a small party venue, I would even consider this product for business use.
