Bought this speaker for it’s versatility being used in side while cooking and out near a backyard fire. Producers good sound and really good base. Not too much of a fan of the live mode so far. Really easy to connect to my iPhone.

A fine portable speaker. Has adjustable treble / bass. Clear sound. Easy to configure and start playing right away. I haven't tried the waterproof aspect yet - I've only used indoors and it is perfect for what I was looking for.

Reasonable price, good looks, durable, very quick Bluetooth connection, portability with excellent range of operation,very long operating time on full charge, and, importantly, great sound! I love it and definitely recommend it!

I love this speaker. Great sound and it can go pretty loud. The lights are a plus and the battery holds a charge for a long time. It does not take too long to recharge the battery when needed so tou can get back to your “party”

This bluetooth speaker by Sony is by far the best speaker I have owned. Clear, crisp sound. A lot of bass with option to adjust. Gets very loud. Much louder then I will probably ever need. I definitely recommend this.

Waterproof, able to connect to 99 other medel-similar speakers (I was able to connect this to the xb60 speaker even though it's "not" supported), amazing sound, and incredible battery life.

This has to be hands down the best truly portable blue tooth speaker for its small size and wide sound and richest bass. Better than anything ease I have heard with in its price range. The amount of bass this tiny speaker can produce is amazballs. As an added bonus to its superior audiophile sound it also has controllable sound activated lighting and an nifty little app that has various filter effects, samples, percussions and more that are touch or motion activated from your start phone. I definitely recommend this above all other bluetooth portable speakers. The live mode give a great very wide stereo image and does an excellent job complementing most music. But I do find for tv audio or movies the standard mode may sound better and more centered.

Amazing sound quality even turned all the way up! Long battery life! I took this to the beach and turned it on at 10am....we left at 7pm and it was still going strong! Easy to use.

I love how this speakers lights go in tune with the base. Also the sound of this speaker is really good. It’s a big bonus that it is water proof. I’ve taken it to the pool and it has been splashed which didn’t affect it all.

Overall sound quality is great.. it sounds good at all levels and extremely easy to use. The kids love it and it seems its on nonstop. They really like the lights and colors that go to the beat

compared this to 4 other major brands of Bluetooth speakers and this one really stands out. The "all-over" sound feature is awesome. Speaker really cranks! Light feature is really neat too!

Really is a great speaker that can get pretty loud for a backyard or pool area. The lights and what not are a cool addition. I really like the fact that it tells you how much battery is left on it.

This is a quality speaker with great sound and bass response. The lights are also cool. I use it at work and the pool and out and about. It sounds great in every setting. Its worth the price.

Purchased as a way to listen to music on the beach with family. Ended up playing for an entire wedding in Aruba after the DJ shut down for the night. In the pool it went and the sound was AMAZING!! Could not be happier.............. unless you get a second unit for true stereo sound. Pro Tip: Place speaker in the corner of the room as it emulates horn loading and acoustically amplifies the sound. The Battery lasts for around 10 hours on FULL blast regardless of what is said on the box etc. Additional pro tip that most miss is that the music app provided by Sony is not actually needed and THIS is the aspect most complain about regarding this speaker and others in the line.

This speaker packs a great punch and full range of sound. It is a bit on the larger side for a portable speaker, but still very easy to transport. Easy to connect and easy to set up and use.

Really great sounding speaker that I picked up on cyber Monday. Was really surprised by how great it sounded, great base, and crisp sound that you can take in the water! Love it

I owned a Bose sound link speaker before. Had i’m going Bluetooth syncing issues of delay. Wanted more voluminous sound, and was tired of the sinking issues. Found this speaker, and the syncing is seamless. The sound is superb, especially with the ability to adjust the bass and treble by using the Sony app. Love the ability to use the lighting feature, not to mention the choice for my son to play around with the rapping features. No, I was not prodded to make this review, nor do I know anyone at Sony. This review comes slowly from the sheer satisfaction derived from this speaker. Else, I would not say anything!. Go Sony! You knocked it out of the ballpark on this one !

So I always criticize Sony cause the sound tech they put into some of their speakers can be too much. But the XB41 is a stellar speaker and does get very loud especially with the live mode. I do wish it had tweeters though, and also that volume limit when the battery reaches 20% is terrible. I compared it to my JBL Xtreme and while the sound is more robust from the jbl cause of the tweeters, the XB41 holds its own in terms of battery life as well as data speed. Yes I paired them with my Note 9, which has dual audio (simultaneous playback from two Bluetooth sources) courtesy of Bluetooth 5.0. Control from the app is nice and I am ever so grateful that you can power the speaker off from it.

I use this at the lake in my boat so I do not drain the battery when just floating and I also use this out on the patio. Sounds great outside and has a long battery life. I have had this sit in direct sunlight for several hours and it did not overheat. 4 stars because I believe it is a slight overpriced for other systems out there.
