The speaker is good but could be louder and have more bass

After buying this item and using it. I found it to be a great product. It was worth the price that I spent on it. I would recommend this to all my friends if they were looking for a blue tooth speaker.

had it for 2 years wonderful speaker worked beautifully bad thing is it broke only a couple months after my plan ended

My only complaint would be how BestBuy shipped this product in the Sony box itself, pretty careless on their behalf with how many costumers stuff gets stolen off front porches.

This speaker put out a very loud and quality sound.

Found a great sale on this item at Best Buy and it has been great so far. I haven’t been able to really test it out yet but has been great for everything I have used it for so far.

Got this speaker as a gift for my 27 year old daughter. She loves it. She can connect it to her phone wirelessly to listen to music. The lighting effect makes it entertaining.

We used this speaker at the beach recently and loved it!

This speaker is great. Loud volume when you need it and deep bass to boot. It paired easily to my cell phone. The daisy chaining feature is great. You can pair up with another one or the Sony models to fill more space with music. (I have the SB31 as well.) You can answer your phone calls through it if you wish. It has lighting effects that is ambient to what kind of music you're playing and it can be toggled off if you want to save battery. This one is definitely bigger and not as easlily portable but sounds great. You can plug your phone into it via USB and acts as a portable charger. It also comes with a detachable plug (for an outlet) so you can charge this speaker and your phone (via USB) at the same time.

My son is temporarily driving an old car and this is perfect for being able to have music without investing in a car stereo since he won’t be driving the old car for very long.

Great sound for home gatherings. Would buy again!!

Even though I recently purchased it, the speaker can has everything you want and need from a speaker, good bass, good sound and of course the LEDs that change and glow up the speaker

This speakers sound matches its size, on the spectrum of bluetooth speaker sizes, this one is pretty large but for those who are looking for a speaker that can really be turned up, this one delivers. I noticed right away that no matter what type of music I played on it, it seemed muffled and far away, after doing some reading I realized I can adjust the EQ settings if I download an app made by Sony. I really am not a fan of downloading apps just to use a bluetooth device like this, but in this case, the app was pretty user friendly and allowed me to make the changes I wanted to make. I figured out that increasing the treble and base, and lowering the middle, it sounded much better and got the sound quality to my satisfaction (my usual go to speaker is a bose speaker, but compared to other bluetooth speakers I have, I certainly prefer this Sony over others). The app also lets you change the function of the lights or turn them off altogether, this is important because the light function on this model can get obnoxious easily. At first it is cool to see the lights all over the front and sides of the device bounce to the music, but after awhile I found myself wanting them off, which also having the lights off extends the battery life. Speaking of battery life, I’m sure this models size helps it, but the battery life is excellent, without even charging it out of the box, I was able to get a little over 11 hours of playback from it. Once charging it, I got over 21. The amount of function buttons it has on the body is nice, especially the ones that have dual functions if you were to hold one down, and they are all clearly labeled. Some buttons allow you to check the battery level or turn the lights off which is nice if you don’t feel a need for the app. The live sound function is also cool to turn on sometimes if you feel like geeking out over how cool a song sounds with it. I am also so glad to see Sony decided to leave an aux in port in the back, seems like so many manufacturers are parting ways with that port but I still run into situations where it would be the preferred method. Speaking of ports in the back, I am also glad Sony made this speaker rechargeable via just a normal micro usb charger, I have a speaker that needs its own special charging plug, and lets just say it never gets charged. Now a micro usb on the other hand, just about everyone has at least one of those wires plugged in at any given time, so it is easy to charge this. It is also cool to see that you can charge your phone or other device from the back of it if you absolutely have to. I put this speaker to the test by bringing it to work and putting it to use for my whole ten hour shift. I work in an auto parts store where the building is metal, there's an awful lot of metal parts around, and plenty of other things to interfere with the connection but even when I walked about 50 feet away with my phone it never skipped a beat. I have taken speakers to work before for this same test, ones of this similar size and price point and they disconnected literally 27 times during my shift. This Sony speaker did not cut out once and co workers commented on how well it was staying connected and how good it sounded. Another thing I think worth noting is the build quality of this speaker. It feels like a solid device, not a cheap feel to it at all. The back cover for the plug ports seems secure and I would trust it against water if I were ever comfortable getting this near water(Sony says it is safe, although it is painful to put devices like this through that). The fabric wrapping the entire device feels rugged but not over the top at all. Overall I would recommend this device to anyone really who has the use for a bluetooth speaker, especially if they plan on using is at a high volume, or for using it outdoors, in an open area, or in a party like setting where there will be a lot of noise. I certainly plan on using this near the pool and on the beach this summer.

I purchased two of these to take on family vacation at the lake, and they did not disappoint. Excellent value and the ability to pair multiple speakers made these worth my investment.

Picked this up when it was on sale for $125 from $250. Very happy with it at this price but don’t think it’s worth $250. The highs are lacking a bit. Overall very loud with good bass. The lights are a nice added bonus and can be turned off if you don’t like them.

Great battery for beginner ....soooo Ginius ......

The bass can be excessive to the point it drowns out vocals. There is no option for turning on/off the bass boost on the speaker. I found using an equalizer with this speaker can increase the sound quality dramatically.

You can link these with other speakers in this Sony family of speakers for stereo sound and more (link up to 100 speakers in a chain)...and a cool feature that you can use (or not) are the line lights or strobe which illuminate to the beat of the music, change colors etc...kids will certainly love that...adults too... If you need some great portable sound for the summer grab this, you won’t be sorry.
