I have one but with the synchronizing these have with multiple speakers, I am thinking of buying more for surround sound.

I have a friend with the model before this one and the only difference is the light that goes around it. He paid $79.00, I paid $149.00

The sound quality of the speakers amazing… The lights can be a little annoying, but you can always turn them off

I love the sound and the light effects. I got it on sale so it was a very good deal. I wouldn't pay retail for this item. There are some competitive speakers out there that are louder.

I have been through my share of Bluetooth portable speakers but this might be the best one yet. I do really like my other "brands" and some have strengths in other areas, but as an all-around waterproof, cool-looking and party-inducing speaker, this is the one! It comes well protected with a power cord (proprietary unfortunately) and several multi-language guides. Most of these are simplistic pictures showing operations. The speaker itself is a kind of textured rubberized screen material with the control area the requisite rubber covering. On top you have the Power/Bluetooth button, Live button, volume up/down and play/pause/call button. They all work as described with the "Live" button enhancing the surround/DSP effect. On the rear covered with a waterproof door are the connections for power, mini USB Out, Audio In and USB connection. There is also a reset button and buttons for NFC, Bluetooth Add and Light Control. The speaker has a little heft to it and is approximately a foot long. It has excellent sound with good highs/mids and believe it or not, decent bass! (Missing on most Bluetooth speakers). It has extra bass capability if you want some more, but in neutral it sounded good. Sony also has the apps Music Center/Fiestable that can be used to control the speaker, change settings and change the LED lights that surround the face of the speaker and flashing lights on the speaker drivers. You can also control the "sounds" the speaker makes when you tap it at certain points. You can have snare drums, cymbals, whizzers, and many other sounds to enhance your party when tapping along with your favorite songs. The calls part of the speaker work well enough, but obviously aren't up to par with a good Bluetooth headset. Haven't really tested the waterproofing or it's toughness, but it seems put together well or better than other "rugged" speakers. Sony has a winner here, so if you are looking for a good outside party speaker that is plenty loud, has some neat lighting and sound effects and has a long lasting battery this is the one! Stop looking and buy this speaker. Good Shopping!

I bought this speaker 2 years ago and it works great! I love it. I have not had any issues whatsoever.

I wanted to love this product since when it’s working properly it sounds great. But it has too many volume up and down issues even while hard wired. Which from what I found in forums seems to be a known flaw of this product. I exchanged it once thinking I just had a defect but wound up having to return the item. Again I love Sony and love the big party Bluetooth speaker that I use for backyard get togethers. But this did disappoint

This is by far the best Bluetooth speaker I have ever used. Sony just knows how to get it right. The size s manageable, the sound is terrific. Crisp, clear highs and mid tones, deep rich bass, and all of this in a bullet proof package. I use this connected to its little sibling the XB31, and the show is dazzling in stereo. Seriously though, this line of Sony speakers can be chained together, up to 100 Sony says, for a incredible system that is just incredible sounding. I had a little trouble getting the speakers chained together, the included documentation is seriously lacking. But a quick trip to Sony's site and there is all the information you need to get these chained up and going. This is one knock I have is Sony, like every other manufacturer, just don't provide good instructions with their products. A device like this which has so many features should have better user guides. But this seems to be the way everything is now. The speaker has some features that are cool at first glance, but I imagine that once the novelty wears off these will be available features that are not used much. If you download the available Fiestable and Sony Music center apps, you can control the lights and there is also a DJ feature that allows you to annoy your friends with scratching, jet, audience, voice and other sounds while the music is playing. I must admit, when I first got this speaker I used these a lot. But after a day or two, the novelty wore off and now I just enjoy this speaker for what it does best, awesome sounding music. Just to clarify, I do like the lights on the speaker, they are always on, I never turn them off. Colorful LEDs make everything better, don't you think? Not to forget, this speaker is dust proof waterproof and basically outdoor proof, which makes this the perfect camping, beach, or outdoor party speaker. I like this speaker enough that I am eventually going to get one for every room in the house. Id would highly recommend this great speaker, it is now my go speaker, even over my two Bose speakers, I think it is that good.
