Originally, I was looking for a CD player with good bass to play my old cds but couldn’t find one so I got a cheap CD player and bought this speaker along with an auxiliary cord. I just plug this speaker into the CD player and BAM, excellent bass and sound! I wish the speaker wasn’t 200 dollars but hey, I’m really picky when it comes to how my music sounds. I just gotta have that extra bass. Oh yeah you can also download the app and customize your speaker with lights and different sounds which is pretty cool too. The lights are extra cool on it.

I returned the 33 version and purchased this one. I take it to the beach, park etc. Love the option to connect multiple speakers, The music center to control the sound. As long as the lights are on you get decent battery life from it. I find that the stated range is not what I get when connected to it. I had it a pool and it was a bad connection...like it was too far from the phone. And I purchased it on sale.

The sound quality is really nice if you're near the speaker (up to 15 feet). There is enough bass and treble to fill a small room with sound (10x10). If you add a second speaker connected in stereo they can handle a room twice that size (20x20). When using the speakers outdoors in an open space the bass does not punch as hard. Having a wall behind the speaker helps alot. I'm enjoying the pair of XB43 speakers that I have purchased. I recommend giving them a try.

Awesome sound and light show

The battery life is way better. They sound is pretty darn good maybe mire bass on this one, it’s slightly bigger. And the light show is way better and in tune with your music on this model. Perfect portability. You get the good in sync light show , sound, wireless mobility, ease of mobility. Really good speaker

Great outdoor speaker

I’ve had mine for over a year and it still plays for hours at the lake on the boat so we don’t drain our boat’s battery. And since it’s waterproof I don’t worry about getting it wet (note keep the back panel close if not it will destroy the speaker if it gets wet). The bass and sound is great.

Decent speakers

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased two of these speakers about 6 months ago and they sound pretty nice, I use them frequently all over the house and even in the car at times. The battery life holds up pretty well but I keep the pretty lights off usually to make it last a little longer, I’m not sure they actually get the amount of hours they boast, but they do pretty well. They have a strong connection to my phone from several feet away (phone on first story of house, speaker on second) with no issues. I can even connect multiple devices at once, while on vacation we were able to connect the drivers phone for gps and passengers could take turns connecting to play music. It worked seamlessly as if only one phone was connected, the music would lower for the gps voice and then go back up after. These speakers are pretty great but there are a couple things I DONT love. The only time I can hear any notification from my phone is when a phone call comes through because it literally cuts the music off. If I get a text, or messenger message, or email, I miss it. On some speakers the music will quiet when a text or notification comes through or you can hear the phones tones over the music but on these ones none of the sounds come through. So I kind of have to actively look at my phone through the day if I use the speakers for hours on end. I also have trouble getting the two speakers to pair correctly sometimes. Mostly when I want to use them in stereo. I purchased these speakers with mostly points when they were on sale but if I had paid full price for them I might have taken them back to find something a little more to my liking. I still think they are great but in the future I may go a different direction.

Perfect Bluetooth Speaker

Haven't had any issues with it and love that it charges with USB-C. The battery lasts a long time, and the sound quality is great! Amazing bass from this smaller speaker too! It provides a lot of bass thanks to the built-in subwoofers on each side and is a great substitute for the thin sounding laptop and smartphone speakers which have no bass at all. Syncing this bluetooth speaker to my laptop and smartphone was very easy. If you want an all around great sounding speaker with plenty of bass for a decent price, look no further than the Sony SRS-XB43.

The sound is clean on all volume levels. This is not the loudest speaker ever but it will easily fill a room with good and clean sound. The bass on this speaker is not too much or too little, it's just right. The build quality is amazing and I love the USB-C fast charging support. It makes it so easy to plug in anywhere you go. The battery life on this speaker is outstanding, I can get about 10 hours of playback at 80% volume. I had an old sony speaker for 4 years and it never let me down. I love these sony speakers.

Sound quality is excellent. The led lights are a cool addition and sync to the music well. Bass gets loud too just as described. I also very impressed with the battery life. The Bluetooth pairing is good too. However the overall max volume is a bit lower than I expected. When being used in an open, outside area the max volume didn’t seem to be loud enough for my event. Additionally, the unit can be a bit awkward to carry as there are no handle. It is a bit heavy and carrying by the felt or subwoofers feels a little insecure.

Amazing speaker with some tuning!

In that price range there is nothing that comes close to this speaker. For a sub $300 speaker it is a 10/10. The sound is not perfect out of the box. For some reason the speaker is set to base boost by default. This setting has extremely muddy high's and just kind of rumbles in the low's. After downloading the app I turned live mode on and set bass, treb, and bal at 6. Now when the volume is turned up there is no distortion or harshness. The live mode somehow breathes new life into songs ive heard a million times. I work as a Carpenter so I use this speaker Mon-Fri for 7-8 hours per day. With lights in rave mode, volume above 70%, and live mode enabled I got around 17 hours of battery life.... CRAZY! Many other co workers have various jbl speakers and they are constantly having to charge them throughout each day. The lighting has a lot of customization in the app, and some of the modes actually change their lighting pattern to the beat of the songs... NEAT! Overall I dont think you can go wrong at any pricepoint with this speaker.

Great sounding speaker

With jazz, the bass is very musical as you can hear every bass string. The live sound mode really expands the sound field, and the lights just make it fun. I've used this for a full workday as my laptop sound system being connected via blue tooth and I had power for the next day as well. I recommed this speaker.

A Speaker with a lot of Loud and Thump

The bass and volume are also very impressive and sounds way louder in a smaller room. Open air and larger rooms also still sound good in their own light. The easy connectivity and access make this a great speaker. The only downside is that the best way to control the led lights is by using the app on your phone.

This thing kicks out great sound and bass. This thing gets LOUD. It easily filled an entire living room and would be a great outdoor speaker. The lights were kind of distracting, but it was cool how they go along with the music. You can turn the lights off, so it is good either way. Charging is fast and has a USB-C connector (must have). Just as good (maybe better) as the JBL that sells for $350. Great value!
