This allows you to pair multiple devices compatible with the Party Connect such as SRS-XB43, SRS-XB33, SRS-XB23 or listening to music wirelessly with 2 SRS-XB43 speakers (Stereo Pair function). Nice Little Powerhouse Speaker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Sony SRS-XB43 Portable Bluetooth Speaker, in black, is a nice all around speaker with fast bluetooth connectivity and overall great sound and clarity. I was only able to test one and not able to use the pair option so that is not in this review but at some point I would love to hear 2 or more. The main reason for the 4 stars is honestly the bass, it lacks there, and the last generation Sony portable had much more bass. The features of the speaker with how fast it connects through bluetooth and I can walk a far distance from the speaker and does not lose connection is awesome in itself. The Sony music center app is neat and lets you connect other speakers to changing the colors of the speaker and how the sounds react. It also sets songs lists and more or use the fiestable app for other color adjustments. The water and dust proof works like a champ! I on purpose threw it in the sand then sprayed it off with a hose, still works like a champ! Battery was not 24 hours, most I have seen is about two 9 hour work days and it is dead but still, it lasts a long time. I hopefully will get the chance with another speaker to test the other functionalities of the Sony Party Connect but if you are not worried about loud bass, this is a 5 star unit for you.

Need to return- Best Buy Issue

Unfortunately, the blue tooth technology is incompatible and it can not pair, so we are returning. I paired with another device to make sure it was the incompatibility issue with the projector, and frankly the sound quality was not great from the little I heard.

The XB43 is specifically designed for audio clarity throughout it's volume range. This is something our music loving customers appreciate most. That being said the XB43 also gets very loud for it's size and audio precision.
We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. Please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine tune your XB43 and maximize the volume to your liking. There is even an EQ.
Please make sure you fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 10%, and hit the auto volume limiter (designed to keep your speaker safe).
Then Increase the volume level of the wireless speaker and source devices.
You may also find different devices will preform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission.
If none of these things help, please contact Sony support. We are here to help.

Great sound in a compact package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in Florida, just 12 miles from the beach - guess what I wanted this for :-) This speaker packs a lot of bunch into a compact package - lots of volume, range, and looks great while doing it. I was able to squeeze roughly 23 hours out of it - not too shabby! The low end is a little weak - what do you expect for a 3 inch woofer? Overally though the sound is fantastic for the size and definitely loud enough that you can fill several rooms with sound or annoy everyone in the general vacinity while at the beach, or scare all the fish away while you're fishing! Oh yeah, speaking of fishing, it's water resistant to boot! Lighting effects are nice, but honestly I wish I could shut them off, couldn possibly boost the battery life a little. Fantastic speaker though - Sony never fails when it comes to sound!

I couldn’t even connect it to the same brand speakers, that’s how bad it is. Also sound quality is better putting your phone in a large bowl.

For this, the sound may become low in the following cases.
When the built-in battery is running low and the CHARGE indicator flashes slowly, while the speaker is being powered by the built-in battery only.
When the rechargeable built-in battery is running low as a result of long-time use of the speaker at a loud volume even though the speaker was connected to an AC outlet by the AC adaptor (supplied).
If the sound becomes low while in use, follow the procedure below.
Turn off the speaker.
Charge the built-in battery sufficiently.
