The last one is an Altec/Lansing, also purchased at Best Buy along with everything electronic I own, about the same size, but 4 years old now. The battery doesn't last as long as it used to. My nephew was at the house recently and had the Sony SRS-XB. He was working outside and I heard it for the first time. I had to get one immediately. So far I am very happy with the speaker sound and battery life. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs or likes the versatility of the Sony SRS-XB43.

I loved that speaker so much that I tried to buy it again but the model wasn’t being sold anymore, so I brought this one thinking that it would be a better version of it. It’s not. I brought this speaker for $199 and while it is a great one, the SRS-XB30 packed a much louder sound for half the price and the SRS-XB30 was much smaller than this one. Now if I was just going off of this model and not the one I wanted, it is a great product. The lights and bass are on point, but I feel like the sound/volume is a bit low. The weight of the speaker is a bit heavy, so make sure you’re placing it on a sturdy platform. Overall, I like the speaker but just not in love with it.

It has excellent bass for the size. It is very clear but I feel the highs are a little muffled. But not enough to fault it. Battery life seems to be good and it charges pretty fast. One thing that is pretty cool is that the lights actually flash to the beat 99% of the time instead of just random flashing. Price not bad if you can get it on sale or deal of the day.

Good mix of bass, treble, and mids. I usually use it while in a room that's kind of echo-y and the reverb and stereo separation sound great. The Bluetooth connection works well and is really stable. *I guess it's not that little, but it's smaller in most dimensions than the Ion boombox that I had been using.
