Great high quality and durable speaker

Quite bass heavy by default, which I prefer. Has incredible HiFi sound quality. The tweeters combined with the live sound function create a crisp wide soundstage perfect for all types of music. I use Tidal HiFi Plus for listening to music and when paired with this speaker it really is almost like a live performance. Love this speaker. My ONLY complaint is that it doesn't have a built in handle, considering it is heavy and bulky. But, in Sony's newest speaker line up the series X's, the biggest speaker ("equivalent" to this one) has a built in handle so Sony has corrected this mistake in their newer models.

Perfect for small spaces and gatherings

This isn’t too loud but it’s perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. The sound is clear not like most small speakers.

Wish it were just a little bit louder, but bought discounted and it’s DEFINITELY worth the price

The XB43 is specifically designed for audio clarity throughout its volume range. This is something our music-loving customers appreciate most. That being said, the XB43 also gets very loud for its size and audio precision.
We want to make sure you are getting the most out of your speaker. Please make sure you have downloaded the Sony Music Center app. There you will find all sorts of tools to fine-tune your XB43 and maximize the volume to your liking. There is even an EQ. Please make sure you fully charge the speaker, especially after it has gone below 10%, and hit the auto volume limiter (designed to keep your speaker safe). Then Increase the volume level of the wireless speaker and source devices. You may also find different devices will perform better than others, as will different apps due to different types of audio compression and transmission. Thank you for your feedback! -Jess

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The product itself is great the speakers are incredible I use them all the time what I don't like is that I have been now paying for Amazon music unlimited for at least 6 months now roughly all the meanwhile I have Amazon prime which I already get unlimited Amazon music so I didn't even know that until I just caught it on my account today that paid an additional 60 plus dollars that I shouldn't have had to pay cuz I already had the service and it's just kind of frustrating because it's not made clear or it wasn't at least when I bought these about the Amazon music subscription service and prime and all of that so it needs to be more streamlined

I needed a Bluetooth speaker to play music in my truck at work. Being able to charge my phone is a plus. Only flaw for me is the body design. I turned a corner and the speaker went rolling and fell. It needs more supportive feet or something to keep it from rolling away. It also could use a strap or someway to carry it. It’s kind of heavy.

Good Quality & Sound

It can be cleaned but I think a rubber material would be better. The sound quality is very good but I did think it would be a touch louder. Overall it is solid for covering a first floor of a house with great sound.

In my opinion, it is way better than JBL speaker. I do not use it outdoor so can not comment on that part. My average daily usage ~1 hour.
