It has clear highs, mids and bass, and more than enough power for me. I use it in my office, so I can't speak to its portability. It connected to my phone with no problem. I really enjoy being able to control the sound with the, included, equalizer program. It gives me all the control that I want. The sound is great, but, it's a Sony. For me, that really says it all.

The first one worked beautifully and holds a wonderful charge. My only qualm is that it doesn’t last too long in direct sunlight, but what speaker really does? This one definitely has a bit more bass, but the volume itself seems to be about equal as the first version.

This is my first bluetooth speaker purchased for sound quality and it's great. The battery is long lasting for my use, an hour or two here and there without a charge for 5 or 6 uses. I haven't really tested the bluetooth range.

Works very well, I love the light show it gives but don’t worry, you can turn it off if you’d like. There is a couple different apps that are just for this for further customization as far as light color, sequences, and cool other gimmicks that you can do with it. You can even get another one and sync them together for a rather nice stereo effect.

It is so easy to pair with your phone and to pair with another XB43. The battery life is amazing and that sound when they are paired together an put into party mode makes it easy to provide music to the whole backyard without having one zone so loud that people can't talk. Just rich, even sound through out. If it wasn't so expensive, I would buy 4.

I bought another one to go with it, and the stereo pair gives it that boost of volume. It's dust proof, rust proof and waterproof, can't beat that. You don't expect to feel so heavy. But heavy feel in a speaker is good. I put the two of them in my truck and it does better than the trucks aftermarket 6x9's I put in. You can also pair it with car audio which adds a good deal of LDAC quality sound. Highly recommend, except it's better when it's on sale because a new one averages $250.

I charged the batter fully before turning on and would play music occasionally. Several were long afternoons. I had the lights on for awhile and volume about 3/4. I was amazed how long the battery lasted! The sound is pretty good too.
