It is used for a Line Dance Club so has the power to excellent hearing. Some of the participants have great "hearing" of music. They commented that they could hear every sound. Never had a speaker connect to blue tooth so fast and with ease.

(and heavy) It's sound is good not great. Ultimately, it is a good personal speaker with 8/10 sound, be aware it is not as mobile as it could be. The speaker being waterproof is a plus.

Being able to bluetooth connect to my tv/phone and able to answer phone calls. Being hands free is important. The app feature to change the lights to different types of songs is fun. I would've given it 5 stars if it was lighter. Well worth it overall.

Posted .Hi meee, We're glad to hear you're enjoying the sound quality and lighting effects of the SRSXB43. The weight is due to the all-new X-Balance speaker design, and 2 new tweeters. We also kept the speaker waterproof and dustproof like the XB41, but the XB43 is shockproof as well. Oh, and even though we added more speakers your XB43 still has up to 24hours of battery life. LDAC is available to use if your sending device(phone, etc.) supports LDAC mine was great for a few weeks and then poof started dropping bluetooth. I would still recommend this product if you want a good Bluetooth speaker that has good battery life and is large but still portable.

Sony has always created excellent music products and this speaker is not the exception. To date We are extremely happy with the purchase and function of this well-built speaker. We use this speaker on our lanai, and it has plenty of power to fill the air with clean crisp sounds regardless of where you are in the backyard even underwater in the pool lol. We listen to everything from Reggae to Classical and the sound is excellent for all of these types of music. The one thing I will say is that the reviews are correct regarding the lack of deep bass. If you like Rap music that has a hard driving bass beat this speaker may not be right for you. That said it has been perfect for all the music we listen to and plan on purchasing at least 1 more to pair with this speaker.

We truly appreciate your feedback with the bass sound. The XB43 is specifically designed for audio clarity throughout its volume range. Depending on the music, the EXTRA BASS effects may not be so noticeable. To switch the sound effect from STAMINA mode to EXTRA BASS mode, press and hold the LIVE/STAMINA button for about 3 seconds. The STAMINA indicator will turn off and the sound effect will be switched back to EXTRA BASS mode. You can also change the setting of the Sound Effect with “Sony | Music Center." Additionally, you can use the app's equalizer function to tailor-fit the sound quality to your needs.
